You of all people shouldn't comment on people taking crazy upsets. At least mine has a reasonable explanation. No, you're making assumptions 30 minutes into the poll about how another Sephiroth/Mario match would go despite the knowledge that Sephiroth has a horrendous first hour. Honestly, Sephiroth will end up closer to Link than he will to Mario. We just saw Sephiroth kick Mario's ass last round. No one should expect Mario to hold close to this percentage, or for Sephiroth not to increase like mad from here. --- "With each passing day, the world finds new and exciting ways to kill a man." |

If you ask me, this match shows that Mario could very well go 53-47
with Seph nowadays, even before Galaxy and Brawl. After those, Mario
may be the safe number 3 in these contests. You people have got to stop this. "After DoC, Vincent can go toe to toe with Mario." lol, ZFS calling the Heroic Mario deluded. --- "Look out-- It's Liquids and Gases!" |

I wonder if maybe Vincent is particularly vulnerable to SFF from
Sephiroth. It could see it; I bet Vincent would hold up better than

Seph will obviously increase, and Mario will decrease from this point. However, Mario has proven multiple times that he is much stronger in 1v1 matches than in multi-character polls, while if anything it has been proven that Final Fantasy VII is stronger in this format than in 1v1 matches, as shown by Cloud, Sephiroth, and to a lesser extent, Vincent. --- And if we armed them all with two swords, we'd have four times the votes! | Well, the best explanation I can come up with right now is that Mario simply gets LFFed by everyone. So adding Cloud and Snake (or just more characters in general) to a poll hurts Mario far more than it hurts Link. |

| Saying after DoC, Vincent could go toe to toe with
Mario, is a lot more reasonable than saying Mario would do that to
Seph, considering we just saw him *****-slap the hell out of him last
round, and the last few years, not to mention Seph obviously being

I wonder if maybe Vincent is particularly vulnerable to SFF from

Last time we saw Mario in a one-on-one match, he went 57-43 with

What we're seeing right now is not indicative at all of how a Sephiroth/Mario match would go. The idea that a match between them has suddenly closed to 53/47 in a few short years, based off of nothing but the beginning results of this match, is ludicrous. If it ended like that, you could have something to work with, but not right now. I said this when Dirge of Cerberus was announced -- it was under the assumption that it would be a good game that would not only sell well, but help expose Vincent to a whole group of people that didn't know him. Also, I'd like to point out that Link currently has a lower
percentage against Sephiroth/Mario/Vincent than he had against
Sephiroth/Mario/Cloud/Snake last year at this time. :) Crazy stuff. Who would have thought Twilight Princess would have done this much damage? Cloud>link can't happen this year..because of snake..he deals much
more damage to Square characters then to nintendo one's..and adding a
4th independent char (Sonic/MC) would just damage Cloud even more. Link
winning shouldn't be in question. Damn nintendo fanboys creaming
themselves over link, and not thinking about voting snake/???. 1 on 1
