Still can't vote. Don't care much with these characters, but
considering the votals, I get the feeling the results are being
affected. (Not that there's any way to tell how they're being affected, but still...) Seen the numbers, though. Am I the only one here who won't be surprised at an epic Mario collapse within the first two hours? Also, LOL at Vincent getting hit even worse than Ryu. Some reward for breaking the Noble Nine, eh? Mario is easily the star right now. If you had told me he'd be tripling
Vincent, I'd have called you crazy. Perhaps he got angry watching Samus
slap Mega Man around and decided to give it an all-star effort in his

...square having less than 40% of the vote doesn't matter. If they end
somewhere between 40-45% it's still as debatable as ever, and FF7
always finishes higher than it starts. This match isn't going to tell
us anything. Link is still going to be considered the favorite, and

Square has less than 40% of the vote. FF7 has less than 40% at the start of the poll -- this shouldn't come as a huge surprise. I'm amazed at how poorly Vincent is performing right now. He usually
starts off bad in polls anyway, but he got like 10% more in the
FF7-poll (which didn't have Sephiroth, to be fair) than what he's got
right now and he's shown he can fight off SFF against Crono and Squall
as well. Sephiroth destroying him THIS much...ouch. I figured Vincent

Link looks great here considering Mario. maybe I'm spinning this, but
he's going to hit my expectations even with Mario doing vastly better
than I expected. unless Mario just utterly collapses and this is some

Vincent's performance is surprising to me, too. I figured he'd hold up
a bit better than he is, but I suppose if most went the route I did --
voted Vincent up until this point but went with Sephiroth here -- it
would be understandable. Still pretty shocking, though. I figured Mario

If you ask me, this match shows that Mario could very well go 53-47
with Seph nowadays, even before Galaxy and Brawl. After those, Mario
may be the safe number 3 in these contests. --- And if we armed them all with two swords, we'd have four times the votes! Official Head of the L-Block Belief Core! |

This definitely is a weird board vote. Mario was barely doing this will
last time, and there wasn't a Link in his way. Actually, looking at the
last Mario/Seph match, yeah, Seph is going to do quite a bit of

Well, I believe that SFF... or fine, LFF if you must call it that, is
much more damaging to non-Nintendo entities in this contest. I mean,
consider how large the fanbase is that you're trying to split when having two Ninties go against each other? I mean, FFVII may be the most popular (maybe not quite anymore) game here, but it's still dwarfed by Nintendo as far as total voting pool.
