Even if L-Block wins out, and it pains me so much to say this, I think Starcraft's still got the more amazing run. It's the only time a 16 seed's ever pulled off the miracle. Probably the only time one will do it, too, especially since the last few brackets' seeds have only gone down to 8. |
ChichiriMuyo | Posted 10/26/2007 9:27:13 PM | message detail |
So, who thinks L Block's strength would carry over to a traditional
contest? Seems like the sort of character that'd do better in 4 way
matches than 1on1's to me, but I'm wondering if I'm in the minority on
that one yet. --- You do not have the right to never be offended. |

A 50% update any time Snake, any time You're gonna be waiting a while. Losing momentum that much, that fast, is NOT how L rolls. In fact, you probably won't see any such updates, except maybe flukes doing dead hours. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

Y'know if I go ahead and just pretend this round didn't happen (Noble

my peace of mind --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

It's too early to say that L-Block has kicked Snake out of the Noble
Nine. But it looks increasingly likely that this will be the case by
the time the poll ends... ... I can't believe people are still bringing up the Noble Nine with this **** going on right on the homepage. It was one thing when Vincent beat Crono. Solid Snake is losing to a Tetris block. Does anyone think this would happen in a 1v1 match? Seriously, just drop it. A Noble Niner isn't "booted" (ie. the concept itself doesn't die) until someone puts up over 50% on a Noble Nine member. --- yoblazer33: NO LIMITZ Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |

What are the odds that Snake/Sonic will SSBM LFF each other... Stop it! Aghhh, even if they LFF their Smash Bros. votes they still have their own series of games from which they draw at least 80-90% of their total votes. Prior to SSBB do you think Snake/Sonic would lose to either Squall/L Block? I don't, and with SSBB votes tacked on that can only help them (it can't possibly hurt them) their chances are greatly improved. Neither stands a chance of stopping Snake/Sonic. --- Upon having Rosie O'Donnell corner him in the forest, the pizza delivery man knew how a Goomba felt when Mario got a star. ~ SSJ3 Popo |

What are the odds that Snake/Sonic will SSBM LFF each other and screw each other enough so that Squall/L-Block would advance? Maybe decent for Lblock to advance. Squall on the other hand, lets see how he does next round. KB |

I think L-block next round might hurt Snake
against Sonic. L-Block hitting hard during the night eats up Snake
building an advantage during the night. And then Sonic can make his
move during the day when Snake and L won't be as good. --- "Opinions are like butts, little girl. Everyone's got one and nobody thinks their's stink." -Lunar 2:EB *Claims KG's Eclair, C.C. & Tear Grants* |

stunner if L can win here. I didn't really even consider that, but

Don't forget that a good number of voters will have been conditioned to
vote for L-Block in polls involving Snake. He'll LFF some of Snake's
support that way. matches than 1on1's to me, but I'm wondering if I'm in the minority on

Solid Snake is losing to a Tetris block. Does anyone think this would happen in a 1v1 match? In a 1-on-1 match, yes, L would probably be leading 30 minutes in with this picture (upright L and Solid ****). But he wouldn't actually win, and he's not going to win here either, I'm pretty sure. He doesn't have to take 1st to be awesome though. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

L-Block getting the day vote would be contradictory to everything we've
seen out of him so far. I can see Snake sucking it up more than usual
due to the picture, but the day has never been kind to ol' L. Unless
this picture gives him a 'reverse Solid ****' effect, but then NO CHANCE OF HAPPENING HUH I AM GOING TO GET YOU TRANNY --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

Yes, and Snake is going to comfortably come back
and win this. L Block has three characters with him in the poll that
can in no way LFF him, and he's facing an ugly-ass Solid ****. Next
time around he'll have a better picture of Snake to contend with, and
Sonic possibly doing some damage with the "old school" LFF. Besides, even if L Block were to pull off the upset next round and make it out alive, it would have nothing to do with SSBB LFF going on between Snake/Sonic. It would be his legitimate strength from a dedicated fan-base in a four-way format that favors him. Period. --- Upon having Rosie O'Donnell corner him in the forest, the pizza delivery man knew how a Goomba felt when Mario got a star. ~ SSJ3 Popo |
