Looks like Ganon will continue chipping away until the after school vote, where he will dominantly erase what remains of the lead in a few updates. Can't say this one isn't over.

300 votes isn't too bad. Ganondorf can probably make a match of this, assuming the morning vote is coming near a close.

If it's actually annoying people, sure I'll stop, but trolling is generally done to intentionally get a rise out of others. That's not my intention at all. I never even considered it.

Heh, the difference was that I actually believed it...and turned out right.

I guess it's not trolling, but I don't know what else to call it. Whatever, I guess it's not a big deal.

In all seriousness, though, looking at the trends from last match, I'd be pretty surprised if Ganondorf wasn't able to come back from this with the ASV.

His chances are decent, but far from 100%. I think I'd give him a 50/50 shot. Luigi did come close to stalling him in the afternoon, if not so close as in the morning. Plus, Luigi's doing rather more gaining during school than I expected him to.

The thing that gives me the most hope is how Ganon absolutely destroyed Luigi with the second night vote. If it's still close near the end of the poll, Ganon takes it, easily.

Huh, Yuna is doing better than I expected. Good stuff!

This result is more MC failing than Yuna. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)
Tequilla Gundam | Posted 10/25/2007 8:24:47 AM | message detail
Luigi has this locked up. An SFF match + MC sucking up near 40% of all the votes during the day = Game.

Looking at the graphs (which are really good), the stronger you get as a Mario character the worse your power hour in relation to the rest of the day.

Samus in particular stinks with it. Link and Mario do okay. Even the Gdorf doesn't look as good as I expected.
---
'Tis a little odd but not completely unexpected. There IS a limit on %age I guess.
YoAriel33 | Posted 10/25/2007 8:40:58 AM | message detail
The after school vote still has me on pins and needles. However, if there were any voting block that I would say would be most affected by this picture, that would be it. Of course, even if Luigi were to come out of that alive, he'd still need to survive the last few hours, which, as mentioned earlier, Ganondorf roughed him up with last time.
HaRRicH | Posted 10/25/2007 8:44:03 AM | message detail
Typically in this format, if you're the strongest in your four-pack then you're going to do back in the NPH. All of those that you mentioned just now fit that at some point. I blame bracket-voting.

He hadn't made a move like that in the first twelve hours. I'm certainly hoping they were just flukes. But another decent cut right there. I am not pleased. I need Master Chief > Luigi to have a shot at taking this contest.

Eh, I'd much rather see Luigi with a bigger lead here, though at least he proved you do not mess with his morning vote. I don't like that he has to rely on "Gannon" scaring away the kiddies, though, as that's pretty much his only hope of not giving up this lead in the afterschool vote.

For what it's worth the Chief spikes seem to hurt Luigi more than Ganon. And if Chief is already pulling 36% updates that afterschool is gonna be beastly.

Should I start running now?

Looking back at their second round match, Ganon didn't "kill" Luigi with the after school and evening votes as badly as I thought. He gained about 0.65% during the last nine hours, while Luigi didn't move. Barely half a percent isn't something significant, especially when the picture now plays a factor and your two other opponents are so different. Ganon is certainly the favorite, but I think Luigi still has a decent shot.

I really hope that Luigi advances in this match. And since he will be the only Nintendo or Square character in the next round (unless Pikachu advances of course) then he should be able to get to the semi finals, which means that he would get even further in this contest then his more popular big brother.

Now how about that?

If Dante and Leon advance tomorrow, I'd consider today's Nintendo rep as the favorite, actually. Chief will need to kill this after school vote for me to reconsider.

OK, time to get serious (sorry if I annoyed anyone). Chief has already been gaining for the last hour, and NONE of his increased percentage have come from Luigi. Luigi is standing completely still while letting Ganon and Yuna drop. Looking pretty good for him.
red sox 777 | Posted 10/25/2007 12:04:07 PM | message detail
And it begins. Luigi gains 49 on Ganon, and Master Chief destroys everyone.

Actually, Chief just destroyed Ganon and Yuna. Luigi gained with him. Wow, it looks like Ganon's picture may have had a hand in reversing his entire latter voting trend.

In all honesty, I feel pretty terrible for Moltar. =(
