Goldeneye is physically painful to play nowadays. That's one game
that hasn't withstood the test of time, although the same can be said

Keno, we're calling it the Fodder Failure Factor (FFF). As a 36% MC picker myself, I don't see why others who picked in that range are so worried right now... I mean, we're talking about the guy who did THIS only a couple weeks back http://www.gamefaqscontests.com/images/poll_graph.php?matchnum=2904&type=1 Granted Lake and Allie are two of the worst Day Vote character you're ever going to see, but are Luigi and Ganon really going to live up to their Nintendo day vote reputations with THESE pictures? I think if anything they might be helping right now, since they appeal so strongly to the old-school NES voter who was likely awake during that NPH, but I have a very hard time seeing a high schooler who started gaming on the PS2/Xbox picking that awful looking pig over the slick-looking MC come ASV time. I've played my fair share of the original Halo (widely hailed as the
FPS with the greatest control scheme), and I hardly had a problem
playing Goldeneye a few months ago. Sure, it doesn't control as
smoothly as Halo, but it's not too tough to get back into the groove of

MC shouldn't be disappointing the masses, here. This isn't too bad at all. Thing is I had him beating Cloud and if he's well below 40% against these, resilient fanbase or not I'm just having some trouble seeing it happening. Don't go into "MC > Cloud you're insane, Lopen!" either! I've heard it enough! Goldeneye is the greatest FPS of all time. As HM said, I doubt it would hold these days (I haven't played it for years). But no FPS was ever so much fun. FPS is a genre thats based all around the graphics, physics, and effects. Old FPS just don't stand up Doom stands up pretty well, I think. ...then again Doom was the only FPS I ever liked, so I'm fairly sure I'm biased. |

I actually would say Doom has aged much better than Goldeneye. I
replayed Doom a few months ago and enjoyed it... can't say the same for

http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2762 MC got over 9% against four Noble Niners, a high mid-carder, somebody who upset him before, and a character who gets most of his popularity on MC's systems. Switch Cloud for Solid Snake, drop Mega/Crono/Dante/Hayabusa, change the SSBB-based question to a fair pic, and add Halo 3 being released...and that's what we have a fair chance of seeing. There's no doubt there were front-loaded. I'll be amazed if MC hits

Well, you gotta figure... if MC maintains in the neighborhood of 33-34%
with the night, he's likely to gain around 6% with the day vote. It'll
likely be a more dramatic jump because of the frontloadedness of his
enemies... we never got a sample of MC's day strength like we did with
