| Right now, I can't see OoT Ganon dropping this. If Luigi kills him for the next few hours and builds a lead of a couple thousand, I might see things differently, but damn, it's hard to argue against an entire trend reversal. It may not have been dominant, but Ganon did beat Luigi in the after school vote barely a week ago. |

I don't think there's any way Luigi (if he holds here) can be the
favorite against Dante, unless it just becomes obvious that Dante and
Leon are hurting each other with LFF tomorrow. Glancing at the updates, I like how Luigi got that mighty 4 vote lead at 4:21 - which was chopped to 2 the next update - and then proceeded to never give it up :) I really wonder what this match would be like if Ganon had his OoT picture I like his current pic, but the match is close enough that you figure a picture change that big should impact the result. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

| Should be well over 1,000 votes in the end. Nearly 1% of voters (or 4% of those who voted for Luigi) are not going to change their vote to Ganondorf with a new picture. Almost everybody who sees this poll knows who MC, Luigi and Ganondorf are and don't need a picture to remind them. |

Eh, in all honesty... and I said this before the match, I don't think SFF is hurting Luigi that much overall. Nintendo is a large fanbase, and they're not even from the same game. I mean there's no doubt Luigi's SFFing him, but it's not as if I expect a much better performance without Ganon here. | I've been thinking for a while that if either
Nintendo rep came in 2nd this match, they were going to be considered
the favorite for 2nd next round as well. If Yuna came in 2nd, well then
obviously Dante or Leon. I need Luigi to win here just because it'll
still give hope to MC > Dante, that and less people definitely have

I wold love for Luigi to beat Master Chief next round, but I can't see that happening. The LFF here isn't *that* big. Nearly 1% of voters (or 4% of those who voted for Luigi) This is a very small fraction. Also: if this is all Luigi gaining strength from last round (rather
than Ganondorf losing strength), that makes him a friggin' beast, and a

Or I was right when I said that Ganondorf is more popular overall, but Luigi is more popular among the core Nintendo fanbase so Yuna and Master Chief hurt him more. I picked Luigi for second here (and Ganon > Luigi last round) and I was in no way banking on bacon. Last round Ganon struggled to beat Luigi when he was supposed to destroy him. It was obvious most of Mudkips fanbase would go to Luigi. Yeah, Ganon seems Samusy to me. Larger overall fanbase, and will kick
the crap out of someone not-related to Nintendo harder than Luigi and
Mario respectively, but put them against Ninty competition, and they

Yeah, Master Chief's performance is still quite good. He'll still
finish around 9% ahead of Luigi and 10% ahead of Ganondorf. I still

Uh, it's pretty clear that a fair number of people did change their vote based on the picture, given what happened last round. And LS/Alucard? That was a ridic swing, certainly can't be attributed to the picture. Wait, that was *also* with Yuna and MC in the battle. Some could be attributed to Ness, and here with Mudkip, etc. Either way, there is a *lot* more going on from match to match than picture changes; this is two dramatic changes in a row with MC/Yuna in the match. Unless Luigi slows down, this is going to be an all out demolition, relatively speaking, and Ganondorf is not going to lose a match because people don't recognize him. It's ganondorf! I think pictures matter more for relative unknowns, in a match full of relative unknowns - that way unrecognizability or "OMG NINJA" factors actually change votes. I just don't see 1000+ changing from Luigi to Ganondorf because of these sprites. |

Well, I think he's practically a lock to move on, and a decent pick to
score first. Of course, this is all based on having Chief/Dante/Leon as
