I'd hardly call it a lock, considering how many think Link sffed MM in
2k(forgot year). Zero will most likely suffer from that..especially
since him/mm tend to be viewed as strong nintendo supported characters.
Also, many of Crono's votes are from nintendo fans as well..that's
pretty much why he is one of the strongest characters in the morning

There are very few upsets that actually materialize due to the pic it
would seem, most seem to come up short. Those that are typically
debated (fare ranging from Link/Cloud to Ocelot/Pac-Man) are ones where
the pic isn't lingered on too much... --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

| Magus vs Big Boss would obviously be a match that
could have been decided due to a pic factor. I don't see any way Big

My point was that CT's impressive sprite round matches were all the
result of their opponents dropping the ball. Vincent "overperformed" on
Crono during the sprite round, or as I consider it, performed exactly

I disagree, I got my money on MM taking the day vote. OH SHAP WUT! I don't know who wins the day vote, but Yoshi doesn't seem that relevant, since MM doesn't have to have a better day vote than Yoshi... just better than Samus. --- red blue green |

Crono shouldn't really benefit from the sprite round much. It matters a lot more for Magus and Frog IMO. I don't know who wins the day vote, but Yoshi doesn't seem that relevant, since MM doesn't have to have a better day vote than Yoshi... just better than Samus. Food for thought: Samus dropped during the day in her matches with
Ganondorf and Mario. Mega Man held up fairly well against Sonic's day

Vincent's expectations were hardly reliable, though- 2005 was his first
contest, and the next year he beat Ganondorf and got 48% on Sonic.
Auron's fourpack has also looked very good this year. And, of course,
Mario shifted about 7% on Crono in one year going from facing him in

I'm not sure where all this day vote confidence in Samus is coming
from. She's better than Mega, sure, but it's not by a crazy margin or
anything. She's one of the tamer Ninty day votes - Mega Man doesn't
need a 2000 vote lead or anything like that to have a chance, I don't

That doesn't make any sense. Why would Yoshi have any impact on
Samus' trends? She would still get the same amount of votes in relation
to Mega Man. In matches with SFF, overall vote trends turn upside down. Take Zelda in her match with Link in it. Usually her morning is her best time by far and her night is the weakest. In that match is was completely reversed, since people that favor Zelda over Link are apparently more numerous in the night and as a result, Link took less from her at the time causing her to be the best overall at night. Of course, that's a pretty extreme case and it seems like something like that would only effect the person on the losing end. But the fact remains that it CAN affect trends in some rare cases. I can't really say this will be one of those cases though... it doesn't seem major enough. I think the pic had a better chance of screwing with her --- This story is not an end yet. I still think Mega Man holdiing up decently to Sonic during the
hedgehog's best time makes it seem as though Samus won't be doing too
