Yeah, Samus should do better relative to Mega Man next round. I figured Mega Man would easily trounce her if the picture was gonna screw her. Eh, it's still a suit pic, not ZSS. It wasn't likely to make a huge difference, but I think Samus was only expected to win by about 3-4 points anyway, going by pre-picture Oracle predictions. I predict that this match will get high vote totals..like most of MMs
matches, do to his insane number of vote stuffers. It was obvious they

Samus with a Prime picture and a 1 v 1 battle would probably beat Mega

I don't think you can say anything definitive about what's causing this
to happen. If this were under normal circumstances, it would be good to
see what a picture can do, but with Yoshi in the poll, there's no

| Well, I was thinking a 32-30 match in favor of
Mega Man without a bad pic or Yoshi, something like 34-27 with the pic
and Yoshi. I know I was very alone here, but I totally buy into Mega
Man is the King of SFF theory that KH is claimin his. And I'm still not convinced this isn't the case. Yoshi could certainly be hurting Samus and MM equally, MM is totally Nintendo. Even though it's more or less agreed that Mega Man is an unofficial Nintendo character, it doesn't seem illogical to assume that he's a bit more independent than the true-blue Nintendo guys. I understand what you're saying, but the Nova Beam *was* the Plasma
Beam, as far as appearances go. It's merely a palette swap from
orange-red to neon-green, much like the Annihilator was IIRC. Are you serious? They recycled the beams again? Ugh. That crap was bad enough the first time they did it. Any desire I might've had to play that game is officially gone. (Which is good, since I don't have the cash for a Wii yet anyway.) |

Did I ever say they dont, or for any other character? No, just that MM
matches tend to be very high in vote totals, even when other matches
average much lower #s in same rounds. I don't think that thousands of
people come only on MMs days. Square matches tend to be the same..and

What do you mean, "no"? This match was a foregone conclusion, and now it is the most interesting battle of the round! This match was never a foregone conclusion. Samus's history with SFF and as a "favorite character" was too poor for that. She obviously had a big advantage, but it wasn't a lock. --- red blue green |

Scare, not take! I figured Mega Man's lead on Samus would be
higher than Samus on Scorp. This was all after the pic and Yoshi here,
of course. Normally I wouldn't have given Scorpion a chance to even

Yoshi share games. Do you really think Samus SFFs Yoshi as bad as Mega Man 1-on-1? I think Yoshi would hold up better against her. Unless you think Mega Man SFFs Yoshi, and Samus doesn't, thus Yoshi hurts her more. Because the Samus is more Nintendo doesn't seem right - I can't see her SFFing Yoshi that bad.
