I remember when this board actually liked Samus! Well she shouldn't have dropped that Mario match then! No one can rally for THAT over Sephiroth! (more importantly she should have stayed down against Snake but hey this works!) --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

he wins here, per say, since I love the guy and he got hated on a lot
last year...but at this point in the contest, I'm cool rooting for my

| 3 people fell off the Top 50 today. Warning_Cmexy,
zorsmobile and Xene_Elk did not have Sonic > Sub-Zero as yesterday's
winners. 4 people on the Top 50 only scored half points but survive. | I still don't think the picture matters much. With characters this popular in the poll, Samus wouldn't be getting any "Hey, it's a cool guy in a suit!" votes anyway. Looks like Samus/Yoshi overlap to me, considering how poorly Yoshi is doing. |

pretty close match, as expected. I like Samus based on what I've seen
so far, but it's a bit early to say anything conclusively. that last
update is fairly scary though. I feel pretty good about Samus one-on-one, though.. Yoshi has to be hurting her more than Mega Man. --- xyzzy |

guy in a suit!" votes anyway. Totally the opposite of sense to me. The more popular the competition, the more likely people will jump ship due to a picture. If she's facing some chump that no one likes, people will vote for Samus anyway. You have to give them a legit option. And of course, it doesn't get much more legit than Mega Man. Looks like Samus/Yoshi overlap to me, considering how poorly Yoshi is doing. It's not like Mega Man's pic is that great today. To play Devil's Advocate (because Samus IS the devil), that's the sprite Mega Man uses in almost all of his original series, and is instantly recognizable to anyone who has played those games. Samus' Metroid sprite is from the original Metroid, a game that is nearly unplayable by today's standards. --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario.
