You can't really say that Lara did badly against Wesker without saying
that Sora did badly against him, too. Something weird was going on with
Wesker in that match; I really think he performed absurdly well in this
format for some reason. I don't think this match says anything in Sora's favor, either. Riku's not exactly the runaway victor here, and Sora is under way more pressure than Riku - SFF from two characters, one of which has SFFed him embarrassingly before (and that's the weaker of the two). Yes, lol 2003 etc., but I don't think the SFF pecking order has changed since then, and Aeris is obviously above Sora in it. Sure, Sora is miles away from Geno - but Geno wasn't really being SFFed (or if he was, I couldn't tell over the louder noise from the Squall/Aeris SFF). Sora will be - a lot. Besides, there are plenty of examples where the "he can't possibly go lower than that character!" logic has failed. As for Lara not being on Akuma's level, true - but she doesn't need to be. Lara is easily, easily the weakest character in the match straight-up, and we all know it. The only reason she has a snowball's chance in hell of getting >20% is LFF. It won't be anything like Link/Zelda, because none of the characters involved have that strong a connection or are strong enough to drive another character into the ground like that anyway. All Riku needs is a lead of 200 or so to secure a win. Frog could only
cut 300 or so from Axel in his best time, with a big rally behind him.

Also, Squall-Aeris SFF is going to be a lot more intense than Sora's.
Lara will probably hit 20-25% at absolute best, maybe enough to hit
third. But really, all of her vote sources are more or less cut thanks

It's not going to play out much differently between them than it did in round 1 - Aeris may rise a bit since Squall (logically) shares more of a fanbase with Sora than she does. Lara will probably hit 20-25% at absolute best, maybe enough to hit third. But really, all of her vote sources are more or less cut thanks to the competition. I disagree. Her vote sources are, if anything, going to be even more strongly in her favor, because her competition is three characters from the same genre and the same company.
