Where did I get that from? Well how much Kratos boosted just from GoW1
doubling it's sales from his first contest appearance was insane, throw
into that that GoW2 is out, Kirby didn't look nearly as impressive as
he did in 2K5, where he was clearly overrated, whether or not you think
he overperformed on Bowser (he did), thanks to Bowser/Snake. I would
have took Kratos > Kirby at the beginning of this contest had it
been a 1v1 setup, and while I acknowledge I'd probably be in the

But where do you get that from? Kirby did okay in his match,
assuming Laharl hasn't dropped like a stone (and given the performance
of other "joke" characters, I'm willing to bet that L-block's strength
is really formidable). Kratos could possibly take Kirby on in a 1vs1
match, but that would by on the high end of any strength estimate I'd
give him. IIRC, when it was being discussed in the summer, Kratos was given a 50/50 shot at taking down Luigi in a one-on-one. Obviously, he has an even better shot at defeating Kirby. Add to that his great first round performance, and he looks even better. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

Kratos has a chance at Luigi, but nobody picks it. just like Kratos has
a chance at Kirby but nobody picks it -- he hasn't (hadn't) won a match
yet, simply impressed against tough opponents. Kratos could (should?)

Well how much Kratos boosted just from GoW1 doubling it's sales from his first contest appearance was insane Yeah, but the chances of a second game bumping him up that much...it really depends on how many people who didn't play GoW picked up GoW 2 (and how many of those visit GameFAQs, of course). I doubt he's going to see any more than a few point bump. MC has gained quite a boost from his third game, but that's a different story, since Halo 3 is on a different, more popular console. Kirby didn't look nearly as impressive as he did in 2K5, where he was clearly overrated, whether or not you think he overperformed on Bowser (he did), thanks to Bowser/Snake. different, more popular console. Going from 44% on Alucard to 43% on Ryu is pretty damn impressive without getting a new game. And I really, really don't like your logic behind a new game not really boosting him. If that were true, we wouldn't see people going up from much less significant releases. Even if it doesn't bring in a new group of fans, all it has to do is make people like him more than they did before. A brand new game should certainly boost him a significant degree. I don't know what you mean by a few points either... if you're talking about % on BL, then a few point percentage is all he needs anyway. Oh and PS2 > 360. lol --- Explicit Content. I was ready to take Kratos > Kirby head-to-head, but then this
format happened...I've got Kratos > Kirby this round and Solid >

While I do think Kratos has boosted big time, the whole "lol PS2 >
360" argument is pretty useless. What I think smitelf meant was that
the Xbox360 is on a more popular console compared to the original Xbox.
Hence, Halo 3 has more reasons to boost Chief than GoW II does Kratos,
even if GoW II would beat Halo 3 in a poll (which is pretty arguable on

Pikachu probably wins this by like 2500 votes. considering how close

For tomorrow, i originally took Kratos > Kirby because I figured DK would hurt him to the point where Kratos slipped by. Now I'm liking the pick because...well, L-Block decided to become a factor. | Why do you think Kratos would hold up better against L-Block? L-Block is not so much a Nintendo character as he is a universal joke character, and neither Kratos nor Kirby strike me as having a more loyal fanbase than the other (I'd actually side with Kirby's fanbase were DK not in the poll). I do consider Kratos the favorite, but because of DK, not L-Block. |
