Eh, I was always a Pokemon Yellow kinda guy, and unlike half the people
I actually kept my little Pika with me going strong the whole way
through, happy as a clam. It was a minor ordeal getting him Surf
through Stadium, but once I did !! (I ended up having a little thing that couldn't take a hit and wasn't worth crap for competitive battling but it's the principle of the thing I could have totally taken a slowed Dugtrio or something) --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

| Another question, specifically for the people in
this topic: Is it that we like Vivi, we hate Pokemon in general, or we
hate Pikachu in particular? I was just as sick about Bidoof and Mudkip
as the rest of you, but Pikachu barely fazes me. Confuses me, maybe,
but that's about it. aww yeah bt making fools of the stats posters who called him stupid Hehehe. This. Because everybody should get to celebrate victory at least once in their lives. (...preferably without getting modded, though.) |

This contest is becoming a joke, I agree. First Isaac loses, then
Balthier loses to a slut from Resident Evil and some obscure ugly
coyote that nobody really likes and now a Barney-esque character is
beating an actual character like Vivi. If Vivi's hat didn't have

MnMZero Hey, never noticed my for real bracket made the Top 50. Too bad it's friggin' toast after this match. I accidentally have Vivi > Leon instead of Leon > Vivi (that's what I get for not double checking enough when I redid my bracket after realizing you had to have the order right). Now it's going to hurt doubly... Victory once in my life? I've been celebrating victory all contest.
Master Chief impressing, Zero back where he used to be, Mega Man
proving he didn't drop, Marcus Fenix making it to round 3, this is

Pikachu's not a favorite of mine, but I do like the little guy. Sure,
he's not as cool as Arcanine/Gengar/Blaziken/Jigglypuff/Magikarp, but I
don't really see any reason to hate him here. Though I suppose I'm less

If anything, it looks like Tidus may be sapping Vivi a bit. Which isn't
*too* out there if you consider Vivi's BMF power separate from his FFIX
'character' strength, which the technical main of FFX should have the
advantage over... but it's still odd. Either way, it doesn't look like Tidus is being hurt disproportionately by his little compatriot at all... the split is about as even as I could have pessimistically foresaw! --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

| I think what's happening here is the casual shift
GameFAQs is having (high votals, Nintendo/X-Box doing good) is giving a
lot of the older users an identity crisis. No longer are their opinions
of cultish JRPG characters the site consensus, now the site favours
guys like Master Chief and Pokemon, which all of the "hardcore" crowd
are basically bred to "hate". Me personally, I could care less if Master Chief is suddenly a potential Noble Nine breaker. I approach games with an open mind, and the only games I dislike are games that I've played and given a fair shot. TuRtLe ~~~ 169/216 in the contest. Next pick: Leon > Yellow Rat BlAcK TuRtLe. Pikachu's actually one of my favorite Pokemon, but only because he's
awesome in SSB/M. Jiggly and Mewtwo are much better though. Jigglypuff
should definitely have been here instead of Bidoof... --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

Pikachu's a great mascot for pokemon. He's small, cute, and a deadly
force (in the show, anyway). He's a good character in SSB, and

YoAriel I liked it better when we were the Final Fantasy loving Zelda freaks. If I hadn't feel obligated to block BT lately, I wouldn't mind seeing
him go nuts about today's match -- he certainly caught a lot of flak

I like all the Pokemon in the tournament besides Bidoof. The Mudkipz
fad is annoying but he was always my favorite RSE starter beforehand so

| Those on this board love to overreact. I know,
Pikachu won't drop as much as the other Pokemon, but it wasn't like
mudkip was entirely a joke vote either. Pikachu will drop
significantly, and I think it will be significant enough to let Vivi
slip by. If previous pokematches are any indication, the turnaround
