| Wow Amaterasu. Very unexpected. It's great for my
bracket though, since Balthier wasn't advancing any time soon. Very few
will have this, and I've got Leon going pretty far, so yeah. Pretty
nice result. Tomorrow should be great as well. It's gonna be a 3-way race for 2nd between Pikachu, Tidus and Vivi, that's for sure. I guess Pikachu should be considered the favourite, but I'm really feeling Tidus finishing over Vivi, at least. Is it just me or there is a LFF going on here? Whenever Ada loses a bit of her percentage, it goes directly to Dante. O_o I would never thought they would share the same fanbase even though they both are from Capcom. |

Round 2- Division 6 Semifinal B Previous Matches: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2885 http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2886 Characters Involved: Pikachu The yellow rat impressed last round by beating the crap out of Tidus and is looking very good to advance here. Tidus One of the worst performers in round 1, Tidusl went out and jobbed in typical Tidus fashion. lol tidus Leon One of the Character Battle's rising stars, Leon impressed last round by dominating a decent fourpack. He's quickly establishing himself as a highcarder along side notable characters like Dante and Zero. Vivi Vivi somewhat disappointed last round, but that could be chalked up to Leon beefing up since last year. Still, things look grim for the Black Mage with that loser Tidus here splitting his votes. Predictions: An "upset" pre-contest that I had picked was Pikachu going to round 3. After seeing him in action last round, it is an upset no longer. He creamed Tidus, and his main competition this round will be getting SFF'd by Tidus. Go yellow rat! Tidus looked like crap last year because he was against Squall. We have no clue what Pikachu's strength is, but if the performance of the other Pokemon is anything to go by, it's certainly higher than his hilarious 10.99 x-stat value from 2003 indicates (lol x-stats and lol 2003). Pikachu may as well be new to this contest. Add to that the fact that Tidus was getting SFFed last match too, and I don't see where Tidus getting 14% is coming from. I actually find Vivi's performance against Leon to be worse, since we know approximately where Leon stands, and it seems to me that Vivi must have dropped for such a gap between Vivi and Leon to have happened. And yeah, there will be some LFF, and Vivi has definitely proven more resistant to that than Tidus. (Sephiroth vs. Vivi '04 compared to Tidus vs. Squall '06). But really, that big a difference? Also I'm still fully expecting Pikachu to do poorly tomorrow, but I'm
not counting him out of the match just because of Vivi/Tidus split. He's not going to get any of the backing other have received from 4chan, not to mention what looks like "oh hey its a pokemon" *vote* that seems to be going on, simply for the sake of being Pikachu. Yes anti-votes are eliminated as much as possible in this format, but for as much as being pikachu might help him, it has just of good of a chance at hurting him. --- Explicit Content. I find it really hard to swallow that Pikachu would buck the trend of
"overperforming" Pokemon when his competition is LFFing each other to
death. 4chan is given way too much credit; I doubt they were doing much
