Another modest Ada cut, this time by 5. If Ada edges the day/ASV (and I
think she will, though the younguns might vote for the cuter-looking
Ammy (clutching at straws there <_<)) I think she'll take it. She
wouldn't have to win by much to put it out of Amaterasu's range. *waits for update* Yup, cut of 2. This is kind of a trend...that's 6 consecutive updates that Ammy has failed to win. I would argue that there wasn't much fanbase sharing in Mega
Man/Yoshi/Knuckles. They're all from entirely different series and
companies. Luigi/Ganondorf would surely have a whole lot more LFF
between them. The effect of LFF is overrated for the most part...
Riku/Roxas had massive LFF, of course, but I think the only other match
where the leeching effect was massive was the Squall/Aeris match.
Bowser didn't gain that much on Ryu the next round, and it's not like
Kratos massacred DK. Mudkip looked so good this Round I think was
partly because of 4Chan doing more for Mudkip than for Bidoof (and
4Chan helped Bidoof more than Mudkip last round, I think). Vergil
didn't gain that much percentage on Ganondorf with Luigi's presence. I
wouldn't be surprised if Yuna actually got fourth place next round,
despite Luigi and Ganondorf being together. (I'm just hoping Luigi

Tied update, make that 7 that Ammy has failed to win. Ada can put it beyond the reach of rallying, yo, just by winning every day update by 8 or 9 or whatever marginal victory. Wouldn't take much... Leech Fanbase Factor. In case in you need to know more (prolly not),
it's a term to differentiate from SFF. SFF in the past usually has
referred to the stronger character in the fanbase overperfoming, but
LFF refers to both characters being hurt by the same fanbase. --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. It could be fun! So...what is a party?" "Well, you drink punch and eat CAKE! ...I think." |

Believe me, LFF is a much needed term. Take this example: "Fox was hurt by SFF in his Round 2 match." "No, dummy! Fox was helped by SFF! Look at how he killed Meta Knight and Wario!" "Wait, no, I mean that Fox was hurt by the Nintendo fanbase split!" --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. It could be fun! So...what is a party?" "Well, you drink punch and eat CAKE! ...I think." |

It's been like this for a while. Ammy gets the lead out to around 50,
Ada comes back and takes the lead, and in the update after that, Ammy

I hope that this will be our first and perhaps the only tie. I wonder

Zylo, the official rules say that whom ever got the most votes from registered GameFAQs users would win. If it came to that, I would favor the less-casual friendly character (who would get more votes from outsiders), which is definitely Ammy in this case. --- Donkey Kong Country 2 for next Games contest. Which one do you think will hurt more people's brackets next round? The
chances aren't high but I can see Ada being there hurting Leon's
chances of advancing. Ammy might have an effect if either Tidus or Vivi

Amaterasu is getting the before-school vote... that's a much needed
thing for her, since RE4 characters do much better with the ASV than

I think 6-8 was Amaterasu's best time in the last match and
incidentally was Ada's worst. So gaining here is pretty natural. I
think the lead she creates in the next hour or 2 will be the lead the
match will end at O_o --- This story is not an end yet. Because only you are in the infinity loop. |

...Well I didn't see THIS happening. Capcom LFF confirmed? I mean, it's
easier to see why Ada shares a fanbase with Dante than with Ammy, but

It isn't implausible that a few of those would have Ammy going on to the third round as well.
