Also while Liquid should rise in the day, largely with Alucard's votes, he's looking pretty bad right now. I figured Alucard would win this match by half a point because of the pic, but it seems to be making a much bigger different. Yuna >= Subby? What the hell? At any rate, I'll reserve judgement on Chief beating Sonic until his match with Ganondorf/Dante/Leon or Pikachu, when he'll have some actual competition. I didn't think it would either, but the way Ada manhandled Balthier
last round makes me fear Pikachu. I didn't think Balthier would be such

Pikachu might easily win over Vivi tomorrow, but I'm still almost
positive there's now way he'd have a shot unless Tidus was there. Also I'm still thinking there's a good chance Vivi just SFFs Tidus into the ground and Tidus has his most pathetic performance ever. If Tidus wasn't there I would have taken Vivi without question. And the
way Pikachu just destroyed Tidus last round makes me feel real good
about the yellow rat to round 3. I get an upset pick AND I get to see
Tidus get his ass kicked yet again. My favourite part of every contest
is the match where Tidus completely jobs to all hell. I think he's

Squall has a chance of knocking out Sonic, paraboxx. Not Crono as he's on the other side of the bracket. >_> Er. Yeah. *cough* Could Squall knock off Crono, is what I meant to be asking. Well, Vincent was near even with Crono last year as it was, with a slight edge to Crono. He had DoC last year to give him a little nudge, but Squall probably would have a shot at is as well. He wasn't too far from him last year, and Chrono Trigger as a whole as looked vulnerable. So the consensus is that Squall would have a shot at it, then? Huh. Quite a comeback, for a guy who once got 34% on Solid Snake. I'm guessing it's more Crono's loss than Squall's gain, though. |

I'll take 43% on Zelda over 40% on Auron as far as head-to-head
goes...though they'd still be close. Regardless, there's not much room

I think Squall being stronger than his old self is the result of people
having their second playthrough of FF8 and realizing how much better it

I still don't know if MC WILL actually upset Sonic though. Sonic has
sucked ass in contests before and still somehow never actually lost to
a N9er. I can see MC upsetting Sonic but I won't actually take it no

I'm not speaking for everyone when I say that, but I would definitely give Squall a shot if last year was any indication. The dude put up 43% on a boosted Snake -- that's no joke. Although it's impossible to tell exactly what Squall's strength is in this type of format. It should be good, but who knows with Aeris holding him back. Vincent's the stronger of the two for sure, I think, but Squall's not too far behind. --- let's mosey |

The way Zelda bombed earlier this round, and the fact that Yuna is
struggling with Alucard makes it seem as though both of them are back
at their 2k5 levels after massive overperformances last year.
Ironically enough, I think Zelda/Yuna was one of the legitimate matches

Unlike Snake, I can't see Sonic boosting until the game actually comes
out, but I suppose we'll see in a few days when he goes up against a

So, my 3 big round 4 upset picks were Vincent, Pikachu, and Yuna. Oddly enough, those 3 have good chances of advancing. But seeming "locks" that I had for round 4, Bowser and Ganondorf, may not. |

SSBBfied Sonic in this contest will probably STILL be in jeopardy. I
just don't see SSBB doing for Sonic what it did for Snake. At least not

Whoa.... MC might come close to matching his Round 1 score. This is
absolutely insane. He'll probably end up at 43-44%, meaning a
