But weren't there 4chan people who openly talked about cheating? It's not going to affect the results, but when another large site is openly discussing cheating in this contest, I think the least we can ask for is one simple post from the man in charge. Don't let us down, Bacon. >_>

And Bowser beat Ryu 59-41. How did that one work out again? Oh yeah, and there's a little thing called Luigi in that match too.

How do they know their cheating works? 5-minute updates mask any cheating, and l fully expect that Ceej/Bacon have some system in place to catch cheaters.

People have been claiming to votestuff since the dinosaurs, and only twice has CJay validified that somebody cheated (Kefka/Vercetti and one more I can't remember).

Remember Starcraft/Halo (at least I think it was Starcraft/Halo) where he said about 4000 votes came from asia? That was a rally, not a stuff.

And Bowser beat Ryu 59-41. How did that one work out again? Oh yeah, and there's a little thing called Luigi in that match too.

But Bowser/Ryu as we saw was a very fishy match. And my point was Yuna advancing over Luigi/Ganon SFF is less likely than Zero advancing due to Vincent/Crono SFF due to Zero being closer than Yuna is.

Well, in that case, I don't think it's unreasonable for Bacon to still let us know what's up. "Hey guys, their "cheating" didn't even work. We blocked it all. See ya!" CJayC would have done it!

Oh, and the other match is Starcraft/SSBM. Kinda obvious when it gained 800 votes in one (15 minute) update.

Oh so that's fishy because you want it to be then. Well I'll take it at face value, and say Bowser still kicks Ryu's ass in a 1v1 match. You want to take Ryu? Go for it. There's also obvious, blatant SFF between Luigi and Ganon, you're hoping there's SFF between Vincent and Crono. Big difference.

Oh, and the other match is Starcraft/SSBM. Kinda obvious when it gained 800 votes in one (15 minute) update.

Kinda like how it was obvious cheating when Frog gained 500 votes in an hour after he was dropping all day? For all we know, somebody posted on a highly populated Korean Starcraft board, and we all know how crazy Koreans are about Starcraft.

Unless Bacon outright says they were cheated votes, I'll stand by it being a massive 4chan rally. A lot of people in this topic don't seem to realize how utterly stupid and hive-minded /b/ can be.

Yeah, I'm not willing to call it impossible just yet. The dynamics will be shifted completely with Mudkip out and Chief in. I know it's grasping, but I'm willing to believe that Mudkip may be hurting Luigi a smidgen more. I also get this feeling that Luigi won't lose as much of his fanbase as the competition gets stronger. Nothing but hunches, but hopefully one of them will be right.

You weren't even here, Turtle. CJayC acknowledged the most blatant cheating he had ever seen and took votes away. How do two entrants go even for a significant amount of time, and then, boom, 800 vote gain?

It was also right in the middle range for the contest as for as votals went. What, about 1,500 votes less than average? BLATANT OBVIOUS SFF BOOK IT

And even if there IS SFF in that match, you're totally straying from the point, which is MC > Yuna. Stop twisting everything back to Zero. This was about Bowser/Ryu, matches we've already seen go down, and the relationship those matches have to the upcoming MC/Yuna/Ganon/Luigi pack. Stop trying to twist **** around. seriously.

The elitist hypocrisy around here is unbelievable. I thought it was mainly KH, but the last few days it seems to have spread to all the stats topic regulars.

You're just as bad as Vlado. Do you not realize that new people come into these topics all the time and start posting? My first contest that I paid attention to was Summer 2K4, and I probably didn't post in here until Villains. People don't hate you because they're elitist, it's because you're a dick. There's no weekly meeting where we all talk about how we're going to make fun of you, and hate you, and ignore you, we all just do. Stop trying to shift the blame. You're the problem, not us.

Squall > Gannondorf.

Auron, Bowser, Gannondorf and Squall have always been close to eachother. Even though mudkipz might be playing kind of part in making these totals obscure this result helps to further my thought that Squall is stronger than Gannondorf. Unless they actually face eachother, we will never know for sure, but I would bet he is.

I've always supported Squall > Ganon, but I'm not so sure anymore. With everything we've seen, I'm starting to think Squall overperformed on Vincent in 2K5, and I'm not taking much of anything out of his match with Snake last year. I really don't know who I'd pick if a match were to happen today.

I am less concerned with Squall > Gannon than I would be Squall > Auron after seeing Aurons match this year.

Perhaps if Squall crushed Aeris AND Sora (and laura) close to the same way his last fourpack went. Which would assume Squall (and Aeris) will SFF Sora to hell.
