I wouldn't be too sure about Ada winning over Balthier. Between the
possibility of Dante taking more votes away from Ada than from Balthier
(it's very possible), Final Fantasy Tactics's recent release and no
chest action from Ada, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Balthier

Time to find reasons to hope in Crono's victory over Vincent. Perhaps Zero is really at his 2k3/2k4 level and was just SFF'd by Mario/Luigi the past 2 years. Ryu Hayabusa, who lost to Zero in 2005, certainly did well enough this year. On the other hand, (albeit with an inferior picture) he barely beat Jill in 2004......who outperformed Luigi on Squall in 2003, and lost to Peach in 2006. This year, Ryu H. looked like he'd beat Riku in a normal match even without Roxas in the poll...Riku should beat 2k5 Frog with ease now, after KH2, and Zero got 63% on Ryu. So, if Zero and Ryu have stayed at their 2005 levels still......Crono looks good for over 70% on 2k5 Frog, about Samus level. I don't think this is Zero at his 2k3/2k4 levels, but then again, looking back at it, I don't think his 2k5 value was that
off. Vincent is projected to 55/45 Zero in 2k5, and if you figure he
and Crono are about even, then Zero is doing as expected here. My only
worry is that Crono is significantly weaker than Vincent now and Zero's
2k6 value is valid, but Zero/Luigi being an anomaly makes much more

I'm not expecting much change with the day vote here......CT has done
better with the ASV than with the morning vote this contest, and the
percentages really haven't moved much all match. Crono's been going
back and forth between 38% and 39%, and Zero between 31% and 32%. --- Character Battle VI -- Points: 127/184 -- T-1031 (192 way) Bracket: Crono > Zero -- Vote: Crono |

Yeah. if this keeps up I would say this will be a time when Crono will
do worse with the ASV than the morning. Even though I don't think any
Chrono Trigger has quite managed that yet in this contest(although Frog

Alucard and Liquid are exactly equal Liquid won by luck.if the match ended one second before or later Alucard could have won. what really matters is Yuna's strength.MC will probably be ahead,so ALucard and Liquid are screwed if Yuna is considerably above them. however,we could have an epic 3 way match. |

also,in matches that have potential to be decided by 100 votes or less,i'd say things like picture are a big factor because as small as it actually is,i can't see it not being worth at least one hundred votes in which case Yuna and Alucard would have an edge. |

I'm pretty sure this means nothing for Balthier, even if his role in the game wasn't as minor. I'm not even talking about his role in the game, that's just a nice bonus. It's brining Square fans to the site, that's bound to mean something. Balthier is PS2 exclusive, Ada is most popular on GC/Wii. Balthier's gotta have more overlap with Dante than Ada does, and Ada's stronger to start with. I don't know. The PS2 version of Resident Evil 4 is not only the one that sold the most (by a solid margin, I believe), it also has Ada as a playable character, as opposed to the GC version. The Wii version shouldn't be a big factor compared to the other versions. Add to that both of them being Capcom, and I can totally see Dante taking a lot of Ada votes. Anyone else think Alucard can beat Liquid Snake this time around? Absolutely. Yuna's a comfortable second, btw. No way are Liquid or Alucard standing up to her. No way. --- 148/192. I'm still feeling Yuna in that match... if you're struggling to beat
Alucard, you're not exactly a pillar of strength. He may very well
benefit from the format however, so I'm not calling anything a lock,
but I'm still feeling plenty good with MC > Yuna. --- mmm feel the vibration baby |

Wow, back to back 38% updates for Zero. I figured he'd increase with
the ASV, but that's a commanding performance. I can't see him not
finishing above 32% the way he's going. Looks like he gets within 5% of

| I'm excited to see how far apart Liquid and Alucard end up this time, with no real SFF in the match, it will be very useful to analyze variance of matches if anything else. I bet they wont be that close at all this match. |
