He could still break 30%. If previous matches have shown us anything, it's that all joke/fad characters thrive not only with the board vote, but with the entire first hour. And it's pretty clear that something's up, Bidoof has significantly
more percentage than he did at this time last round (and he's got no
Naked Snake picture to excuse it for him). Not that it means much, but
he may have a bigger drop off than even last time. --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

But creative, they don't follow the contests like we do. Last round
they tried to get him over Link. They see this match as a possibility
for him to advance again. These people actually think he can beat Vincent? I gave Vincent 30% myself, and I thought that was being hopeful. I'm pretty sure the average Oracle for Vincent was under 30%. Though I could be wrong. I just thought that Bidoof would get hurt by the presence of actual strength here So did I. but apparently it's as many have speculated - in a format like this, joke character percentage seems to be rather untouchable once you hit a certain point. No, I don't think this is the case. Look at Phoenix Wright. I think this is more likely due to stuffing - obviously, stuffed votes are untouchable. Yeah. I'm not counting out Vincent and Link from going on a tear later. Bidoof should

An hour in Link's last match, Link had 58.8% and Bidoof had 23%. Link
finished with over 70% and Bidoof finished with under 16%. Link's
definitely getting over 50% --- HMMMmmmMMMMMmmmmm............... |

No, I don't think this is the case. Look at Phoenix Wright. Phoenix isn't a joke character though - he's a fad, but not a joke. People love him. You can joke vote Bidoof without caring about him at all, same for L-Block. They're *actual* jokes, ones that the casuals get. CATS is this to an extent as well - look how well Sephiroth performed without him! The triple Nintendo SFF only counts for so much, Sephy had the advantage of double Ninty SFF in the first round with a much weaker entity. --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. And if we must have empirical evidence, there's nothing better than just waiting for Mudkip and especially
L-Block. If they hold up disproportionately well/don't drop off at all,

Trends don't decide who the star of the round is. Being really
front-loaded doesn't mean that Bidoof is actually strong or anything. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |
