I'll tell you all what is happening in respect to KHII boost. 1. The primary characters who benefited last year where Sora, Axel and Riku and Kairi. These are the prominent characters in the first playthough. 2. This year, people have started theirsecond playthrough. They take the time to look at other characters. 3. In exchange, these people lose interest in Sora and Riku (Why the weakened this year) and begin to get more interest in Cloud/Seph/Auron/Squall (Why these characters are beasts this year) Also, it's clear Twilight Princess has hurt the Zelda characters. Playing through Twilight Princess filled me with rage that would have
made me stop liking Link/Zelda/Ganondorf if I didn't detest them already go hochi go --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

playthrough. I would have started my second one myself if I didn't have
to deal with Roxas and his kiddy friends at the beginning --- Hochiminh155's Trail to Failure swirldude has exposed me as a prediction fraud. |

Nah, Auron/Sora/Squall/Tifa all impressed last year already. As for
Link beating Cloud so badly, the KH2 boost may have been nullified by
massive Twilight Princess/Wii hype during the Battle Royale.
Actually..... Cloud's percentage on Day 1 of the BR: 23.71% Cloud's percentage on Day 3 of the BR (with Mario and Samus out): 23.70% Mario and Samus contribute absolutely no percentage to Cloud at all? I think Link's strength may have changed during that week peaking at the TP/Wii launch day. --- Character Battle VI -- Points: 107/160 -- T-1870 (257 way) Bracket: Sephiroth > Fox -- Vote: Sephiroth |

| Heh. Hochi, if I were you, I'd go with a different "explanation". That's that KHII got players interested in other FF games, but they needed more time to play through them. Then you could get a boost for Sora/Riku/etc. last year and a boost for the other characters this year. Not that I agree with that at all. :P I think they're all doing about as I expected. |

To be fair, that third day had a lot of Cloud support rallied behind
Sephiroth. Same for a good amount of Link support being siphoned by
Snake - there's a reason why Snake was beating Link at the beginning,
and it's one of the few things in that match that can't be blamed away
on MGS fanboyism. --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

| I haven't heard any other theories on why
Cloud/Seph/Auron/Squall/Vincent/Tifa have impressed this year while
every other FF character fails. Those 6 are the ONLY FF characters

Wow, I never noticed that. Insane. Here's another crazy fact: on day one of the Battle Royal, Samus netted 7.74%. On day two, Link gained 7.50%.
