Frog shouldn't get hit *too* hard in the daytime. I think with it being
a weekend, some of this are day voters up late. that should lower his

That would make Luigi pretty damn close to post-KHII Auron. Unless
Luigi and Zero are indirectly equal and their match was a product of

I've shared my thoughts on Luigi/Zero. Even if you think Zero dropped, Luigi embarassed him and Kirby then went and performed exactly as expected against Sonic. At the time, most thought it was Sonic boosting due to his match with Crono, but I think that idea was shot down in flames after Sonic/Snake. My point is, if you think Zero/Luigi was legit, Zero would have had to have had one of the biggest drops in contest history, bigger than Ryu's 2k5 performance. TuRtLe ~~~ 105/132 in the contest. Zero is not what he was in 2004. He sorta fell in 2005 and he fell even
more in 2006. It would be prudent to assume he's even weaker. His Round

He won't do as badly as he normally does, since the during-school vote
is spread throughout the day as well as the morning and afterschool,
but it's still going to be pretty ugly. He's against three day

Dante not at number one = epic fail of badass list. Glad to see Scorpion handling that damned Frog. I'm thinking Scorpion actually takes the day vote here because the MK day vote has seemed pretty respectable and he's at a much lower % than Samus. Plus Samus is more frontloaded than MK is. At least I'd think... maybe not... Sub-Zero did do his Test Your Might crap on Sonic a couple of times early in the poll. All this being said, I'm pretty disappointed in Scorpion here, actually. Seems he really is a good notch below Sub-Zero. I prefer Scorpion, myself. GET OVER HERE! > ice balls. Here I was thinkin Scorpion would be strong enough to take an update or two from Samus like Sub-Zero did to Sonic. Alas. And good that we finally have concrete evidence to help lay that "Samus can't SFF" thing to rest. I have a feeling she'll prove it again next round. Really, outside of a
company's absolute power players (Link, Cloud, Mario), I don't think
anybody has perfectly predictable SFF trends. Samus did poorly against
Mario and Zelda, so-so against Ganondorf, held up very well against
Link, and is now stomping Midna into the ground. She's run the SFF

I wouldn't be so sure. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't think Samus is good
in SFF situations, but when some people were saying she just couldn't
do it at all and that Midna would hold up, I had to disagree. It's Midna, people. I dunno. It's definitely debatable, but I think Mega Man will prove to be the SFF force next round. I've always supported Mega Man SFFing her, and I'm not about to stop now. A little reassurance today. Knuckles fought back... well I won't say
nicely but at least an improvement. And MK shows it's power today

I am diggin these 27% updates from Scorpion though. I figured Frog
would be hurting him now more than Samus would be hurting him in the
day, and that he'd increase... but I'm not so sure with these 27%s. Him
pulling those in the day would kinda surprise me considering what he
started at. I suppose it's possible that Scorpion just goes up and up and up, though. I think he'd be the early vote loser by far, actually. Mega Man's performance against Zero was really disappointing. Zero may
be his series' Auron, but Mega Man is no Tidus. There was no excuse for
a 56/44 split. I also think his win over Sonic, while exciting, was
hardly impressive. He was the big bracket favorite and was perceived to
be at least a clear notch above Sonic going into the match. Apart from
those, his only other SFF matches were against Zelda in 2003 (a good
performance) and the 2005 Yoshi debacle, which I feel the dino made up
for yesterday. Don't get me wrong; I still feel Mega Man has a very good chance at first place, but if it happens, it will be because of Yoshi. In a straight match, I'd take Samus easily. --- yoblazer33: NO LIMITZ Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |

you have to remember that Sonic kind of boosted in 2005 though. by the time that match rolled around, it was a tossup. as for Yoshi affecting things there.. if he can get 30% on Mega Man straight up, I can't see him hurting Samus any more. what's he gonna get, 35-40%? --- ZFStix: nin nin nin ima ninja!!! nin nin nin XD ZFStix: kill it |
