I'm not sure I'd take him over Kirby, but that'd certainly be a good
upset. I'd imagine it'd be close either way, though. But barely getting
by Master Chief doesn't strike me as being able to topple Kirby. --- let's mosey |

Kirby > ...uhh... Zero. It's a tough one, and even if Zero has noticeably dropped over the years, he really kicked the **** out of Scorpion in 2003. I see I was correct on my bold prediction of Sub-Zero doubling Prince of Persia! We'll see how the day vote goes, though... It seems that almost everyone has a good day (afterchool) vote. Who loses it the most? Viewtiful Joe? Sonic's obvious great with it, PoP gained on Kirby (though it's hard to accurately judge), and Scorpion was the best out of everyone with the afterschool vote, including Midna. Oh, yeah, and... Wow this is weak for Sonic, then again since when was Sonic good at the
start of a poll? At the start of his match against Solid Snake, he
looked like he would do worse than Yoshi. Give him some time and he

Eh, I had Sonic at 40.01% in this match. This competition is just that

I'm interested to see Frog/Scorpion. A lot of people are thinking Frog
is going to die, but I really don't see Frog losing for some

Yeah MC's next match will be interesting. Not only will it be cool to
see how MC will do after HALO 3, but any of the rest of the characters

Maybe it is just me, i think Scorpion will have no problem annihilating
Frog after today performance. MK character just do well in this format
and Frog is the same person that struggled against a KH character. That

If Frog can keep close to Scorpion, then Frog's going to win -- I can't
see him not rallying enough to beat a MK character if he keeps him
within striking distance at the end of the match. That said, I'm
interested to see how Scorpion does in his match...Samus handily beats
Sonic and Sub-Zero handily beats Scorpion (directly, at least, and
probably indirectly). Frog will also put up more of a fight than PoP or

Geez, no one is looking towards Sub/Gordon/Duke next round at all? It's
probably the one I'm looking forward to the second most. It'll probably

Since I'm bored...I'll comment on every match next round as far as how it makes me feel. 16. Sub/Sonic/Duke/Gordon The most interesting part of this is who gets third between Duke and Gordon... 15. Sephiroth/Meta Knight/Fox/Wario Nothing interesting here, aside from seeing if MK might be able to resist SFF better than Wario (probably not). 14. Crono/Zero/Raiden/HK Raiden/HK-47 has potential to be close, I guess. 13. Samus/Frog/Scorpion/Midna Frog/Midna will probably be the barnburner here, heh. 12. Cloud/Marcus/Ocelot/Kefka It will be interesting to see Marcus in action, as well as to see how Kefka deals with SFF. 11. Dante/Amaterasu/Ada/Balthier All three have a decent shot for second, especially if Dante SFFs Ada Wong or something. 10. Master Chief/Yuna/Alucard/Liquid Snake I'd place this one higher. Alucard's plan will cause something interesting here (i.e. get close to Yuna)! If not, Alucard/LS 2 should be interesting. 9. Snake/Riku/Ryu Hayabusa/Nightmare All three have a chance for second, especially since both Riku and Hayabusa have a risk of an SFF disadvantage. 8. Mega Man/Yoshi/Knuckles/KOS MM/Yoshi SFF? I'm starting to lead towards it, honestly. 7. Link/Vincent/Zelda/augh augh should outdo Zelda. That's quite interesting. 6. Kirby/Kratos/DK/L SBAllen needs to give a flat/sprite version of L-Block, and we'll have awesome potential. 5. Luigi/Ganondorf/Mudkip/Vergil Don't see why you ranked this one so high... perhaps Mudkip has a .1% of upsetting Luigi. Luigi beating Ganondorf would be awesome, but it's not happening, sadly. 4. Mario/Phoenix/Magus/Big Boss There's a bit of doubt here. I always love polls involving Phoenix Wright, too. 3. Squall/Aeris/Sora/Lara Aeris or Sora? AHHHHHHH! I'll side with Aeris, I suppose. 2. Leon/Vivi/Tidus/Pikachu Pikachu will be fun to watch. Who does better out of Vivi and Tidus could be interesting. 1. Auron/Shadow/Ryu/Bowser The most deserving for the top, of course. --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. It could be fun! So...what is a party?" Luigi/Ganon is ranked high for two reasons: Mudkip potential, but also
because of how important the Luigi/Ganon split is. that's a huge match

if Lopen's crusade is "morning vote != day vote", mine is "decreasing
with the night vote != increasing with the day vote". the early vote is
totally different from the day vote. I wouldn't expect Sub to increase
with it just because he's decreasing here. possible, but not linked at

From 4:30 AM to the match's end... ---Sora gained ~2.5% with his main opponents being Lara and Wesker. ---Fenix gained ~3% with his main opponents being Kefka and Nook. ---MC gained ~4% with his main opponents being Yuna and Vercetti. ...Sonic's got a good day-vote, yes, but I don't think he beats MC's and Sora or maybe even Fenix could fight with him to keep the day-vote competitive. I'd also think the pair of Sub-Zero and PoP are better at day-time than the other pairs...plus I would take VJ over Daxter, Zelos, and PaRappa. Just saying that Sonic's not going past 43.5% without something amazing on his side, and I wouldn't be surprised if he finished around 41.5%. --- PETITION: a "Contest Suggestions" board.
