Gordon's weakness today is enough to stop him from beating Sub-Zero no matter how much the Orange Box does for him. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

Geez now even Ike's starting to kick Gordon's ass --- This story is not an end yet. Because only you are in the infinity loop. |

Heh. We can still call it a stall even if Ike's already 200 votes behind, right...? |

He's only 125 behind Gordon. Ike might still beat him, depending on how his voting trends play out. --- If you fail at life you try suicide. If you fail at suicide, what's next? Failing at poetry... - Fidormula |

Erm, from what I can tell from that video, Monkey Island is awesome
and Guybrush is lame. Or are things different in the rest of the series? Pretty much the rest of the series is Monkey Island being awesome and Guybrush simultaneously being awesome as well! --- CaptcanadaA |

Gordon's weakness today is enough to stop him from beating Sub-Zero no matter how much the Orange Box does for him. Yeah, he's not touching Sub-Zero, but an extra port could have given him an edge in this match. --- yoblazer33: NO LIMITZ Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |

I think we can all agree on one thing here. Star of the Round: Guybrush --- Kleenex - Now with an invigorating blast of citrus cherry flavor. CB6 - 87/116; Oracle - 21st |
The n00b Avenger | Posted 10/2/2007 10:11:31 PM | message detail |
So if people think Gordon will win the day vote over Nukem, doesn't
that also imply that Nukem will also take off ahead of Gordon even
further when night hits. That's kind of scary. Even if Gordon does do a
bit better I can't say it'd be enough to make any sort of comeback. It
actually seems like Gordon's best hope is that he takes the night vote
and builds a lead, and that the day vote looks a lot like the first
hour and Gordon stalls him. --- This story is not an end yet. Because only you are in the infinity loop. |
HotPoontang | Posted 10/2/2007 10:11:41 PM | message detail |

Fire Emblem did unbelievably well with the day vote, shaving 3% away
from Metal Gear. Compare that to the epic KH day vote -- 4%. --- Currently Playing: Wild Arms 3, Persona 3 |

Well, it is easier to increase your percentage when you have less of it. --- yoblazer33: NO LIMITZ Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |

The n00b Avenger | Posted 10/2/2007 10:17:42 PM | message detail |
It's harder to compare summer/weekend matches since there's no one big
separation between night and day in the form of ASV. It's kind of hard
to make a judgement there --- This story is not an end yet. Because only you are in the infinity loop. |
HeroicTronBonne | Posted 10/2/2007 10:17:47 PM | message detail |
this match got kind of boring fast --- GSB International Champion WWEGSB Hardcore Legend and Board 8er Masa/Hiko |
BlAcK TuRtLe | Posted 10/2/2007 10:19:02 PM | message detail |
So if people think Gordon will win the day vote over Nukem, doesn't
that also imply that Nukem will also take off ahead of Gordon even
further when night hits. Not necessarily. It's entirely possible for 2 characters to have similar night votes, then one of them takes off in the day. I can't see that happening here though. Duke and Gordon should keep it close unless one of them takes off in the dead hours. TuRtLe ~~~ 95/120 in the contest. Next pick: Gordon > Duke BlAcK TuRtLe. The cream of Zero fanboyism |

From HeroicTronBonne this match got kind of boring fast Yeah. Gordon might make it interesting though if he keeps cutting! --- Finally a damn bracket! http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/2636/ivotedphoenixyi0.png |

So is everyone convinced that Gordon is still fodder that overperforms against the big boys now? --- "GUYS I JUST DRANK A MASTER CHIEF SODA, MASTER CHIEF FOR 2007!" - Swirldude |
The n00b Avenger | Posted 10/2/2007 10:21:20 PM | message detail |
Well it's fairly common for the person that improves from the first 2
hours with the night vote to lose the day vote. Besides characters with
really strong opening hours, I can't even think of a counter example to
that --- This story is not an end yet. Because only you are in the infinity loop. |

transience | Posted 10/2/2007 10:25:45 PM | message detail |
okay. the board hates Guybrush. I hope you all choke. now that that's out of the way: I like Ike in the daytime, just because the other choices suck more. it doesn't look like it's going to matter, though. kinda curious to see where the night vote goes. --- ZFStix: nin nin nin ima ninja!!! nin nin nin XD ZFStix: kill it |
BlAcK TuRtLe | Posted 10/2/2007 10:26:46 PM | message detail |
Liquid/Alucard is a pretty good example. They both made huge gains on
Ness overnight, but Ness failed to improve with the day, and Ness had a
really good first hour. TuRtLe ~~~ 95/120 in the contest. Next pick: Gordon > Duke BlAcK TuRtLe. The cream of Zero fanboyism |
YoAriel33 | Posted 10/2/2007 10:27:01 PM | message detail |
I'm not so sure if it's the board hating Guybrush as much as it's us
loving our brackets. With so many more possibilities in every match,
it's clear to see why bracket voting is more prevalent in the early
minutes now than ever before. --- yoblazer33: NO LIMITZ Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |

The n00b Avenger | Posted 10/2/2007 10:28:15 PM | message detail |
What? Ness is exactly what I mean by strong opening vote. Ness was
overinflated due to his power hour. And he improved massively with the
morning vote, going from 21% to 28%. The problem was that it's a weekend so it's too diluted --- This story is not an end yet. Because only you are in the infinity loop. |
transience | Posted 10/2/2007 10:28:43 PM | message detail |
come on now, your other choices are Duke Nukem, Gordon Freeman and Ike. --- ZFStix: nin nin nin ima ninja!!! nin nin nin XD ZFStix: kill it |

Ness failed to improve with the day I like how you think if you keep repeating this it will come true --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |
