It's hard to see either Gordon or Duke winning the day vote.
Obviously Gordon can't win it, and Duke is just ancient, no one knows
him anymore. That's why I'm having a tough time envisioning Duke winning it. The guy hasn't had a game in over five years, and his last game that anyone cared about is a good eight years old. --- yoblazer33: NO LIMITZ Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |

last year he didn't do any worse against Sora than Megaman did with the

I think the perfect match to judge trends on is Alucard's fourpack.
Ness is a current Smash character, yet he did nothing with the day

I just can't imagine younger gamers voting for Duke. Gordon winning the day vote is highly unlikely to say the least, but at least younger gamers might know Half-Life. You'd have to be older to know Duke. The Liquid/Alucard match might be a good comparison here actually. I was already thinking that Ike could have a decent day vote, but might fall out of contention overnight - which is what happened to Ness. Hopefully though Ike can keep this closer than Ness, because a 3-way race for 1st throughout the match would be awesome. Also, Liquid/Alucard should actually have better day votes than Gordon/Duke! I'm thinking Ike for the day vote, because of Brawl...but Brawl hasn't worked out for me much thus far. After that, Gordon makes the most sense, considering Half Life 2 is the most mainstream game in the fourpack. But then Gordon doesn't exactly have a good history in this contest. I guess tomorrow will tell us if casual voters still remember the Duke. |

| It's not "Brawl" so much as it is the "Smash Bros.
Dojo website." That's the only placed Ike has been announced. He hasn't
been a part of any hype trailers; he's no different than Lucas. It
won't be Smash that gets him the day vote, but Fire Emblem and/or a
monumental collapse from his two competitors. I don't give either a

I don't have much hope left for Ike but he'll be back next year (or

I'm going to try and get Video Compiler to put up a video telling
people to vote for the Duke. That should be enough extra support to get
