I considered Subby coming out of the fourpack of "S"s, but everyone called me stupid. D:
Well, it is a major stretch to say that Sora and Squall have enough LFF for Sub-Zero to slip by, especially since Squall might also benefit from SFF, but with Aeris and Squall, it's quite a bit more reasonable.

Man, I figured Sora would have jumped a lot more percentage-wise than he has so far. I haven't checked any of the updates or whatever, but he's been hanging around the 39% - 40% area since the match started.

if this is Lara disappointing, then Daxter is basically neo-neo-Tanner.

Firstly - not at all. 2k4 Snake wouldn't get 50% on post-KH2 Sora, Lara, and Wesker.

Secondly, Daxter is exceptionally weak. He's basically just the comic relief of the Jak series (aside from the lol PSP game), and he's exactly the kind of character GameFAQs doesn't appreciate from a type of game GameFAQs doesn't even care about. Daxter probably gets a significant amount of his strength from the Jak commericals...

didn't RE4Wii sell like twice that, yo? I thought it was up near 600,000 in the states, and over a million worldwide.

HM will probably have more reliable figures, but last I heard, it was at around 475,000 worldwide (which pleased Capcom, whose expectations were only 420,000 for the first year). I know it earned most of those 475K in the U.S., so I just went with a ballpark figure. It's not near a million, though.

His after-school updates are averaging around 44-45%, whereas his updates before then were ~38-39%. It's not a huge jump, but I don't know how much more you could expect.

Against Mega Man Sora went from averaging 40% updates (getting doubled in many) to 47% updates (beating Mega Man in quite a few updates). Against this competition, I expected him to swing more...

Yeah, I figured he'd be in the low to mid 40s per update now. I hadn't checked those, just scrolled through the updater to see how much percentage he had gained from before, and it just wasn't a whole lot, which was kinda surprising considering we're well into the after school vote. But I wasn't meaning to say he's doing terrible or anything, although this is quite a bit below expectations.

(Still not beating Aeris next round!)

Obliterating seems more appropriate.

And Sora finally stops sucking! He should hit 41%, but it's still a sucktastic sucklar performance from suckmeister Sora.

Actually Sora's day vote has been the about the same in the Megaman match. In that match the difference between his night and day vote averaged 6.5%(41.95% - 48.60%). Here it's 7.37(38.46% - 45.83%)

Just one thing though, his Megaman match was on a freaking weekend. A school day match should be seeing a bigger Sora turnaround IMO...

What's the vote total looking to be for this match?

Despite Wesker impressing today, I still can't help but think of Balthier as a HUGE bust. Jade was the worst performing Tales Of... character we've seen and all the others weren't impressive, Frank was the worst-performing Xbox/360 character by a mile while MC and Hayabusa were killer, I wouldn't think Ada is too much further ahead of Wesker today and might not even beat Lara with this format, and Balthier's match is still the lowest vote total yet. I know nobody thinks highly of his performance, but unless Sub-Zero manages to not get 2nd place then I still think of Balthier as the bust of the round.

I see Midna getting dominated as part of Scorpion's doing well, though... she at least beat Kratos Aurion, and I think Lloyd's performance is an indication that Kratos isn't TOO much of a chump.

trannyscience | Posted 10/2/2007 4:24:58 PM | message detail
I don't think Balthier's as bad as people are making him out to be, either. I'd consider Ada over Midna...

Lara Croft (2006c) VS Ada Wong (2006c)

Lara Croft has a strength of 24.56.
Ada Wong has a strength of 18.54.

Lara Croft wins with 62.26% of the vote!
A win of 29,024 with 118,412 total votes cast.

they're probably equally overrated, so this isn't all that bad of a comparison. Wesker is surpassing expectations and then some, and I'm not sure anyone takes Wesker > Ada here.

On the subject of RE4Wii: VGCharts has it pegged at 411k in America and about 800k worldwide (with most of the rest in notoriously poorly covered Europe, so I'd take that with a grain of salt). The 400k number is probably reasonable close to the actual sales in America.

SPM = 770k in North America according to VGCharts. NPD April (it's debut month) had it at 350k in the USA, and it's not unreasonable to think that it's done well since then (and add Canada in too).
