Characters not to nominate for next year: Protoman Zero Frog --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

The sad thing is I do think Zero has an offshot at round 3, but it's certainly not looking good and I'm tired of hearing twists that try to make it look good. And Akuma seems to be doing relatively better with the ASV. Not enough to make anything resembling a move, but I'm glad he didn't collapse. Considering Kratos is most likely to be there? Snake 31%, Sonic 30%, Squall 21%, Kratos 18%. Sonic has a pretty good shot at upending Snake in that round with three Sony characters there. I may call him the favorite depending on what he does against his fourpack. --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. | I think you put too much emphases on brand. I
think the SFF will be split among the mainstream (Snake, Kirby, Kratos,

Sora > Aeris depends on whether or not Squall
will significantly SFF Sora. I'm not worried about Aeris > Sora
redux. But Sora is ripe for getting his ass kicked at the hands of

Round 2 is just around the corner. What changes do you wish you could
make to your bracket for the next round? I'd change a hell of a lot,
especially since I thought the second round was the easiest of the
three to call when I first filled in my bracket. Mega Man > Knuckles to Mega Man > Yoshi I was expecting Knuckles to come a little closer to Yoshi than he did, and I don't think whatever weird SFF thing Mega Man has with Yoshi will make up the difference now. Samus > Frog to Samus > Scorpion Frog did pretty much how I expected, but Scorpion seems a little stronger than I anticipated, even factoring out Midna's bomb. Cloud > Jill to Cloud > Ocelot This one's obvious. Damn you, Jill! Dante > Balthier to Dante > Ada Another obvious one due to Balthier's big disappointment Leon > Vivi to Leon > Pikachu With Tidus there, Vivi won't be able to pass Pikachu, considering how much stronger Pika seems to be now. Squall > Sora to Squall > Aeris This one was never easy, but now that we've seen Aeris hold up rather well against Squall, I think Squall might SFF Sora too much for him to pass Aeris. --- Official Queen ***** of the Universe! Ryu was helped by being the only non-RPG character in the bracket, IMO. Even then, Riku + Roxas is about even with him, and I expect Ryu's fanbase to overlap more with Snake's and Nightmare's than Riku's will. Cloud > Marcus seems like a near lock to me after what we've seen since then. I can see Cloud > Marcus happening, but I like the odds for Ocelot. Even though all the other characters in the match were fodder, Marcus didn't even beat Kefka by 5%. I still feel pretty okay with Snake > Riku. Ryu was helped by being the only non-RPG character in the bracket, IMO. Even then, Riku + Roxas is about even with him, and I expect Ryu's fanbase to overlap more with Snake's and Nightmare's than Riku's will. That's like saying you feel comfortable with a crack head bum babysitting your newborn baby. He got 46%, and outdid Roxas and Riku combined. There's no chance in hell Riku is getting 100% of Roxas' votes, and he pretty much needs to, to do better than Ryu. Throw in the fact that we've seen Snake/Sora go funky as **** before, and there's no reason to feel good about Riku's chances next round. --- Explicit Content. I wish Lei Fang were my mom.
