She's arguably do worse than Akuma. There's nothing to argue here. She would do worse for sure. In contest terms, I'm pretty sure Vega's fodder. You are waaaay wrong. Vega>Akuma no question. I'd be willing to consider - barely - Vega outdoing Akuma, just because of the whole Original Cast Member thing. But Vega does not beat Guile. Period. |

Vega sounded like a girl when he lost. Nobody likes limp-wristed Spanish losers. But Vega does not beat Guile. Period. Like I said, I'm pretty sure you're wrong. I think Guile would do OK, but Vega was badass. He was very popular. That's what gets you to do well in these contests. Again, I have little doubt. And I've actually been pretty good at pegging SF characters' strengths I think. Blank would also do decent. Hmmm, looking at the SF2 wiki, seems as though Cammy, Fei Long, Dee Jay
and T Hawk were added in Super Street Fighter 2. That must have been

Zangief was one of exactly three SF characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 1. Vega didn't make the versus series at all. Where are you getting these theories about SF character strengths from, might I ask? And what do you think about Dhalsim, btw? |

Zangief, E Honda and Blanca all have memorable character designs, and
Cammy is a bad-assed blonde British chick that kicked total ass in that

This massive disagreement about which SF characters we need to see
reminds me of the contention with FF6 characters... I just can't see
anything notable out of the remaining ones. But Akuma - I don't know
where people are getting off calling this performance disappointing.
*Maybe* Geno doing better than expected, but there's only so much
percentage to go around, and he's being saddled by that picture to some
extent (Liquid was one thing, but I see a symbol
when I glance at Akuma and not much more). If this many people even
know the name 'Akuma', I consider it an impressive thing. What was the
expectation - for Akuma > Aeris to actually HAPPEN? --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

Where are you getting these theories about SF character strengths from, might I ask? Just from what I know about the games from when I was a kid, and guesstimating how their strengths have changed over the years. (Blanka would've done a lot better relative to the others way back in the day, for instance; he's aged worse than most of them) And what do you think about Dhalsim, btw? Fodder probably. He might not embarrass himself but I wouldn't have any faith in him. He just wasn't "cool", though he was fun to fight with. I'd put him ahead of Zangief, but not sure how he'd compare to E. Zangief was definitely memorable. It's just... I don't know if people
would give a damn enough to vote for him. He was one of the more boring
character to play as. Stupid 360 degree controller spin. Freaking
hardest move to pull off in the damn game --- This story is not an end yet. Because only you are in the infinity loop. |

What was the expectation - for Akuma > Aeris to actually HAPPEN? After Ryu > Bowser and Ryu H > Riku, and going by the idea that Akuma's a fan favorite on the level of Ken, yes, that's what some of us expected. Clearly, one of these things didn't pan out. And yeah, I think I'm abandoning the whole SF character order argument. It's basically asking which one looks the least like fodder, and none of us have any serious proof to back up our claims anyway, so. |

Oh come on, who didn't spam E Honda's slap move? It was like Chun-Li's kick in that regard. And Cammy was easily my best character, which is probably why I remember her so fondly. | SF2 characters are a lot stronger than FF6
characters, I don't think there's much doubt about that. Multiple guys
from SF2 would probably beat the strongest FF6 character. I've always figured Shadow and Kefka would be the only characters from that game worth a damn. Never figured Locke to be anything but fodder. I still think Mog could impress. He's a fan favourite from the game,
and is an iconic part of the franchise. Maybe not Vivi levels of

He's the most popular( Ken who?)and most used character next to Ryu in SFII. But people also use Dhalsim a lot also. <_< however, in Japan, Chun is top. --- hmm... |

Fighting game characters have long been known to have a lot more trouble with nominations than with actual poll strength. Yep, look how long it took Sub-Zero to finally get in. Yep, look how long it took Sub-Zero to finally get in. Hell freakin' Kerrigan beat him out for a Rally spot in 2k5 iirc. There's a LOT of midcard-level fighting game characters we are never going to see.
