10 people fell off the Top 50 today. Crono801, Jakyl25, Pats_Dynasty,
Naye745, ForcefulKnight, dtkkm, JustForFun1988, HeroicLuigi, QwazyMofo
and THEVinceYoung did not have Hayabusa > Riku as yesterday's
winners. 20 people got the match half right but stayed on the Top 50. Would Akuma have a better day vote than Ryu? I'd think so since he's
more modern and doesn't rely as much on old games that lose to SMRPG.

You know, I find it hilarious so many people were calling this a flop
for Akuma in the first 5 minutes. Hell, Akuma really wasn't performing
outside the range most people expected. Geno, however, was at around
22%. I think only Turtle had him above 15, 17 if I recall, and most had
him at the 10-12% range. Akuma was pegged around the 20-25% range with
Geno performing badly, and people were writing him off as a flop
because he was performing lower than expected while Geno was exceeding
what people thought he'd perform at by a great deal. Anyways, I'm thinking Geno drops down to around 15-18% or so throughout the contest, Aeris keeps enough of a lead throughout the day to hold off Akuma. |

Looks to me like LFF is striking big time once again. Squall and Aeris

To be fair, I was calling Akuma a flop because he wasn't immediately in second. ... *cough* Akuma would have a worse day vote than Ryu because he sucks and is only in the crappy Street Fighters that noone has ever played. I don't exactly agree with the wording of this, but at heart I think it's correct. Akuma is an obscure character (relative to Ryu) from a niche series (relative to Final Fantasy). I'm pretty new to this stuff, of course, but I don't see why he'd have a better day vote than anyone but Geno here. |

woo Aeris feelin' good here. how long did Sephiroth take to take off? looks like.. an hour or so until he started pulling 50% updates, and then high-50s for the rest of the night. Like I said, Akuma doesn't have the extremely popular, well known
Street Fighter 2 behind him. He would be much worse than Ryu in the
day. Hell, given SF2/SMRPG, I'd say Geno has a good shot of making a

on Akuma, I think of him as having totally different appeal to Ryu.
Akuma isn't dated and old, he's more like a modern fighting game
character. look at Nightmare a couple days ago - that's what I expect
