we didn't really overestimate Balthier that much (at least I don't
think I did). i mean i always thought he was going to be crappy, i just

Sorry for the late writeup, I got held up at work longer than I thought. To be sporting, I have yet to look at the poll Round 1- Division 5 Group C Characters Involved: Isaac Summer 2003 Contest North Division - 15 Seed Northern Round 1 --- Lost to (2) Samus, 26560 [24.66%] - 81123 [75.34%] Extrapolated Strength --- 44th Place [18.72%] Isaac takes advantage of the expanded bracket and makes his first appearance since 2003. He probably dropped since then and was weak to being with, so he's a non-factor here Pikachu Summer 2002 Contest North Division - 7 Seed Northern Round 1 --- Defeated (10)PaRappa the Rapper, 30711 [54.41%] - 25736 [45.59%] Northern Quarterfinal --- Lost to (2) Cloud, 15445 [20.49%] - 59926 [79.51%] Extrapolated Strength --- 39th Place [15.32%] Summer 2003 Contest North Division - 8 Seed Northern Round 1 --- Lost to (9) Fox, 30962 [31.33%] - 67856 [68.67%] Extrapolated Strength --- 60th Place [10.99%] The yellow rat is back, and my bracket is riding on him going to Round 3. Hopefully the increased Nintendo support, and stellar performances from the other Pokemon this year spell good things for Pikachu. Serge Silent star of Chrono Cross, Serge makes his debut. Sadly, Cross was a terrible game and doesn't hold a candle to Trigger. He also has Tidus in here stealing his support so I'll be surprised if he doesn't wind up last. Predictions: Boring match, the only thing to watch is how Pikachu performs, and if he can take advantage of Square SFF in round 2 to advance to the third round. Alot of people are writing Pikachu off here, but he has every reason to be stronger than his past performances indicate. Pokemon is no longer hated as it was back in the day, and Nintendo support coupled with the success of Diamond/Pearl leave me with good expectations for the yellow rat. Tidus is almost certainly going to win today, and Pikachu wil lbe snatching up second. Isaac and Serge are fodder, despite what anyone will tell you. The only thing I can see happening with Serge is if he is strong enough to bring Tidus down significantly, but I can't see that happening. TuRtLe's Prediction: Tidus 35%, Pikachu 33%, Isaac 17%, Serge 15% TuRtLe's Bracket: Tidus > Pikachu TuRtLe's Vote: Pika pika! TuRtLe ~~~ 63/84 in the contest. People should stop nominating their obscure favorites to receive
beatings at the hands of stuff like yellow rats. And yes the casuals
owned at picking Ada but then they barely even had Balthier in second. --- Should I start running now? |

Blame me for Pikachu winning. After getting Ada > Balthier last
round, I'm 1 point away from the leaderboard. Everytime I get really
close to making the leaderboard, I fail. And since I have Tidus >

8 people fell off the Top 50 today. Bigboi9786, RighteousJohn, Ptera,
StealThisSheen, QwazyMofo, THEVinceYoung, Cid_ and Draco1214 did not

...y'know, Ridley's dismal performance was in 2005.
Considering that and the fact that Pokemon probably beats Metroid in a
rematch (seriously how are so many FAQs that much more popular than
Corruption it's a goddamn travesty)... Ridley's a Metroid character not
named Samus. This is the equivalent of Frank West hype --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |

In the villain contest he hadn't had a game in over a year, and Diablo

I'm not gonna give up hope yet. Pikachu is a bit slower, and Ness also

Eh, Tidus isn't out of this. Pikachu's gains are decreasing. Bracket
