So anyway, tomorrow's match! I picked Serge for second because he
probably has the most dedicated fans out of the four (Chrono Chross
fans can be very rabid, and the CC anti-voters will be nulled by the
format) and Isaac may SFF Pikachu a bit. I suppose Tidus could SFF

him. Which was my reasoning, adding it that people don't like Pikachu and even Pokemon fans won't bother to vote for him. Im getting nervous about having Tidus. Im hoping Chrono Chross is as
obscure on this site as I think it is. Otherwise I could see Tidus
getting rSFFed by serge., The silent badasses always do better in these

If Nidoran avoids SFF against Samus, Bidoof survives with Link, Mudkip
advances with Luigi, and Mewtwo gets 25% with Bowser/Toad/Ryu in his
match...then I don't think Isaac is going to hurt Pikachu. Not that
Pikachu is particularly loved, but Samus/Link/Luigi/Bowser/Toad are all
on handhelds as well and they still didn't keep the Pokemon from doing
well. If Isaac outdoes Pikachu, it's purely because of Pikachu. --- Damn, most of my dates involve mocking and/or beating up people like you and your bride-to-be, so I really have no advice --Horatio |

How many votes are we on track for? It looks really low right now, and
if it's pretty far behind then it's hard to really argue that this is
Ada being much stronger. Balthier is embarrassing himself, regardless. I really wish he could have taken, say, Crash's/Jak's/Midna's/Wander's place. He could have caused a lot more hell (in one match, not necessarily overall). --- Damn, most of my dates involve mocking and/or beating up people like you and your bride-to-be, so I really have no advice --Horatio |

Looking at tomorrow's match... it has four RPGs characters, in case you
were blind. Anyway, Pikachu might not act so much like one, so it end
up being Nintendo vs. three RPG characters (although Isaac is closely
related to Nintendo). Pikachu might overperform because of this. --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. It could be fun! So...what is a party?" "Well, you drink punch and eat CAKE! ...I think." |

If Pikachu ends up bombing, I think it's safe to say that those who
talked about Pikachu hate being synonymous with Pokemon hate were way
off the mark. If he does well though, it probably means that ANY
Pokemon would have disappointed pre-2k5 (well, Mewtwo would've probably
broken the fodder line) and that calling for more before then was
simply foolish. Funny thing is, I've been squarely in the latter's camp, but I have Tidus > Pikachu. I guess that's kind of a middle ground...? --- Samus 2K5 is horribly underrated, and is indirectly stronger than Mario. KHF sucks and never existed either, much like my package. |
