Dude, this is just The Plan, alright? Alucard saw that too many people
were thinking he had a chance so he had to take a dive a couple of

Match XXI: Amaterasu vs Dante vs Little Mac vs Matt Information Name: Amaterasu Game/Series From: Okami Past Contests: None Wins: N/A Losses: N/A Name: Dante Game/Series From: Devil May Cry series Past Contests: CB2k2, CB2k3, CB2k4, CB2k5, CB2k6 Wins: Q*Bert (2k2), Ryo (2k3), Ratchet (2k4), Tails (2k4), Terra (2k5), Ryu Hayabusa (2k6) Losses: Crono (2k2), Ryu (2k3), Sonic (2k4), Vincent (2k5), Yoshi (2k6) Name: Little Mac Game/Series From: Punch-Out Past Contests: CB2k2 Wins: None Losses: Link (2k2) Name: Matt Game/Series From: Wii Sports Past Contests: None Wins: N/A Losses: N/A Analysis Like in Luigi’s and Link’s match Dante is up against three characters that have no business going to round two, but sadly one of them has to go to the next round. Any of these fodders have a chance at going to the next round so at least we’re in for a good match, even if they are weak. Dante will take first, there is no way around it, the question becomes by how much? I think Dante will be pushing for the highest percent done by a non noble nine, which as of now Luigi has and may even push into what Crono got. There was some talk of whether Yoshi’s four-pack was overrated, but after seeing Yoshi perform I don’t believe that Yoshi was overrated by that much. Of course it doesn’t matter in this match, but it is something to keep an eye out for because Dante is in a position for upsetting. Amaterasu is from Okami, a cult game and in this format it could benefit her. What’s holding Amaterasu back is the fact that not many people have heard Okami, so you can have the hardest hardcore vote, but with that vote being small it may not translate into anything. However the higher the percent Dante gets the bigger chance I’m giving Amaterasu. Out of the three Little Mac is the only one to have appeared in a contest match, but it was back in 2002 against Link. With nothing except the Virtual Console Little Mac haven’t had any new releases. The VC may help him a little, but I think he’ll go the same way Simon did earlier this round. There has been some talk about Link SFF Little Mac, but I don’t really believe it. Just because they were on the same console way back doesn’t mean Link will SFF him. Back when the bracket was released I would have agreed that Matt would be the favorite going into the match, but that all changed once the picture was released. Matt has no name recognition and the only thing he had going for him was the fact that he was a Mii, but with the picture being so zoomed in he looks like, sorry to be blunt a black bald guy. The only thing he can hope for is if the poll option reads “Matt (Wii Sports)” and since we’ve never had that before I don’t expect that to appear. Dante takes first and anything under 40% would be a terrible performance. Even with that picture the board should keep Matt above some of the worst characters we’ve seen. Unless Wii Sports is added to the option the fight for second is between Amaterasu and Little Mac. You guys DO know that Okami broke the 100,000 barrier, right? It killed
the company they expected MUCH more from such an awesome game. I mean,
it's not like PW last year, when he didn't even have enough GAMES SALES
to win the match! Besides, the others...eh. Unlike Pac Man, Little Mac hasn't had any big releases. Matt...is doomed. That leaves a (relatively) cult character... Still, go my goddess! characters kind of inspire more apathy than most other participants.
It's like, I know who the other 3 are. I just don't care. Amaterasu is
alright but she's not going to be too impressive given Okami's kind of

A unrecognizable picture of Little Mac really doesn't exist (unless it
comes from Suoer Punch Out), which is one of the reasons I had Mac in
