I really hope Liquid > Alucard holds on, I was ridiculed so much for that pick.

I know it could still change, ness could put up some great day vote numbers at any moment and 1600 votes isn' t out of the question, but I realllly hope this holds on.

Does Nees even have a shot at 1st now? or just 2nd? Can Alucard push for first? These results have been holding awhile now.

With that last update, Ness has lost eleven votes on Alucard in 55 minutes, and gained 78 votes on Alucard in the same period of time. That's not enough to do anything, even if it continues for the rest of the day.

Nice to know my dream of seeing Liquid and Snake in the same match isn't getting strangled in the cradle.

Why would anybody be ridiculed for that pick?

pretty much everyone I'd discussed this match on AIM with considered either Alucard or Ness a lock for first. And LS had been considered trash since villains. But I'd been banking my bracket on MGS strength, and so far Ocelot, BB, Raiden and now LS have all hit the mark. I guess its mostly the idea that Snakes strength last year was in some way a fluke.

I really hope Liquid > Alucard holds on, I was ridiculed so much for that pick.

Erm I picked LS > Alucard and felt pretty confident in it.

Sure LS got destroyed by Seph, but Ness is near the bottom of the Nintendo totem, and I couldn't see Ness drawing in more votes than representatives of MGS and Castlevania. I didn't see the Nintendo fanbase giving Ness 100% support in this match.

I understand that, this was my logic too, but the vast majority of people disagreed, enough so that it caused me to question my logic. I've been feeling better with each MGS victory so far.

when did liquid take the lead, what are the current trends and is liquid really gonna go top after what he showed us in the villains contest?

The first half hour was back-and-forth 3-way Vampire/Clone/Psionic Fatty action (aww yeah), then it went Alucard > Liquid > Ness until 5:00, when Liquid went on a tear the likes of which I've never seen at that time of night and took the lead early in the 7:00 hour.

Ness started picking up speed around 9:00 AM (as expected), but has slowed down and started losing updates to Alucard and Liquid again since 12:30 (huh?).

Zidane had a semi-surge around the same time as Liquid (5:00 AM) but completely fell out of the match at 8:00. Explain that trend.

At Ness's current rate over the last 4 hours, it would take him 12 more hours to do that, and he's only got around 8 hours of day vote left (and that's being generous).

Ness's dad is better than all of them. He stays out of his son's life entirely and wires him endless amounts of cash in exchange for killing creatures.

We're at 1:50 in the afternoon and Ness is losing updates to Liquid AND Alucard.

Granted, I had little to no faith that Ness would place in the top 2 (hence my Alucard > Liquid pick), but never in my wildest dreams did I think they'd both be winning updates against him fairly consistently at any point between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
