I wouldn't mind if this was the Microsoft shift. It'd be nice to
balance things out with 3 fanbases. And bring a bit more even playing

field outside of Ninty and Square. A Capcom shift would be much more interesting, given the number of strong Capcom characters. The second strongest Xbox character is...Ryu Hayabusa? Marcus Fenix? Not exactly noble nine breakers... --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

If I had to guess, I'd say Bomberman is looking pretty likely for Brawl. Look how much Hudson has been contributing to the Virtual Console. Just seems to me that Nintendo would throw him in to support their partnership. Sonic seems like a lock too with that olympics game. I'd like to say Mega Man is likely, but Capcom hasn't really been supporting the VC as much as Sega or Hudson. TuRtLe ~~~ 56/72 in the contest. Next pick: The Chief > The Summoner BlAcK TuRtLe. That's why you research these things. I didn't know who Frank West was,
but I figured Ada would be able to handle him. Seeing Fenix and Chief
exceed my expectations makes me worry about that one, since I had high

Alternatively, you could hover your cursor over their names. Of course

She's not. Well, I thought she got closer to 24% on Samus than 20%.. but eh. You can't be that weak and win in a 75-25 blowout. Samus has never been that great at blowing out fodder. I have
absolutely no faith in Ada after seeing how RE characters have done in

Well... Fisher got creamed even more by Samus than Ada did. And between

...dang. This match has turned into another Midna/Scorpion. Debated
matchup, but one ends up winning handily. Of course, MC is a lot more
serious than Scorpion. Man... MC might end up with something like 48%,

Fisher probably beats Ada too, to be honest, but Samus isn't bad at
blowing out fodder if she gets it, I don't know where that idea came

Yeah... I wouldn't use the Samus match as proof that Ada wins. The
point is that it's not really fair to judge her chances on one match.
Samus is a terrible opponent for Ada anyway --- This story is not an end yet. Because only you are in the infinity loop. |

So, uh, why is this topic ASCII-acceptable again? Anyway, way to go MC. He's looking like a legit threat to steal the division...and if he's amazing with the day-vote, he may even be able to outlast Sonic late in the contest. I'm not going to jump the gun just yet though -- we gotta see that day-vote happen and see how Sonic handles his matches. I dunno. When you match Nidoran F's %age on Samus, I kind of worry about you, especially with 360 characters impressing this year. But it's Frank West You can have heard of Master Chief or Marcus Fenix without ever having played their games (I know I have), but Frank West is the kind of generic character the gets Tanner'd. I'd also expect him to have Gordon Freeman like (preHL2) exposure problems. Even if he doesn't, because I admit I've never played Dead Rising, Ada Wong has the closest relation to Nintendo in the poll, That alone should be enough to put her over West |

That's called a pattern and what that pattern is showing us is that any
random Pokemon could be decent fodder. Anyway, Ada Wong is worth 21% on

Frank West was one of two characters I had never heard of in this
bracket (the other being Nathan Hale). If I've never heard of you,

I struggled for a second with Ada/Frank, but in the end I confidently
picked Ada. She's from the more popular game, and gets zombie-killer

I often wonder if Ada Wong was SFFed by Samus... because a lot of
female matches seemed that way. It feels like Ada should be stronger
than that to me, being from RE4. As for Jade, I can't help but think of
Zelos, so I think he (keep on wanting to say "she") has little shot for
second. Frank West... he looks like a Max Payne sorta guy... minus the
name recognition. I guess the chances are decent of doing better than

Ada doesn't strike me as SFF'd, but given the favored status of RE4
here and that it's now on the Wii, she might have a bit of an advantage
in this format. Frank is 360-only, sure, but I've heard relatively
little about his game and even less about him. I know he was only of
the several that -- even when combined with Midna, Ammy, and Mii
(general) -- didn't beat Fenix's 51% in G4's Best New Character poll.
Fenix doesn't have that same pull here, but if he doesn't then Frank
certainly doesn't either. I'd take Ada based just off of that, even

I thought this would really be MC's year due to the new format, but this... this is domination. Once halo 3 is released, it's going to be interesting to see how a huge influx of halo fans onto the site looking for faqs will affect the polls.
