I feel good backing the Pokemon loyalists + 4chan (not that I would
ever go then in a million years) but it sure isn't a mortal lock. And
it will be funny to see how bad Luigi looks in the intial bracket vote

I avoided outright stating I had bidoof winning his match due to
possible laughable failure... But my bracket has mudkip winning
tomorrow too. >_> On a scale of one to ten, how screwed is my bracket I put together in five minutes or so without revising? ten being completely screwed and 0 being lol it's okay u choose mudkip, itz only one match. --- sig |

I don't know how old you are Black Turtle, but it must have been
impossible to be around during the Nes days and not have seen Pit, the

Even if Brawl hype does prove to be a factor, Pit is at a severe
disadvantage by facing a well-liked, popular Nintendo character that
has appeared in both Smash games. The people excited for Brawl aren't
going to vote for Pit; they're going to vote for Luigi. Look at Fox's match. Captain Falcon has a hell of a lot more than just Brawl hype, but a lot of good that did him when going up against a more popular Smash character. Kid Icarus alone will not give Pit the win over Mudkip. Brawl hype must play a factor, and it must be big enough to warrant fans voting Pit over Luigi. I wanted to give Pit less than 12% in the oracle. But I kind of
succumbed to peer pressure. For some reason it seemed most people were

I think the better question is, "how much is Smash hype alone worth?" I originally had him down in the 12% area too, but raised it because I just fear SSB. he's the Guru favourite, too -- what? then again, I was surprised Lloyd was a 3:1 favourite, and he looks to be legit here. --- xyzzy |
