I will second "WDF?" West Division Factor. It's the theory that Sephiroth overperformed on Link in 2002, and thus his entire division was overrated as a result. It was used to explain X-Stats like Samus/Sonic/Mega Man >>>>> Mario, and so forth. XBox really disappointed me in that poll. I was expecting it to get
100% of the vote. Instead it only got 99.99% of the vote. That doesn't

Seriously, though, how the hell did Chrono Cross beat FFT in the first
poll yet get owned so badly by even FFT in the second? Does Chrono

Looks like Raiden's doing a good job of stalling Sam at the moment.
Sam's got to hurry up and cut into the lead if he wants to win this...
and I'm not sure that's going to happen since the late vote will

Match XVI: HK-47 vs Lloyd vs Jak vs Zero Information Name: HK-47 Game/Series From: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series Past Contests: CB2k4 Wins: None Losses: Sora (2k4) Name: Lloyd Irving Game/Series From: Tales of Symphonia Past Contests: CB2k5 Wins: Albert Wesker (2k5) Losses: Zero (2k5) Name: Jak Game/Series From: Jak and Daxter series Past Contests: CB2k4 Wins: None Losses: Ness (2k4) Name: Zero Game/Series From: Mega Man X series Past Contests: CB2k3, CB2k4, CB2k5, CB2k6 Wins: Scorpion (2k3), Protoman (2k4), Tommy Vercetti (2k4), Ryu Hayabusa (2k5), Lloyd (2k5) Losses: Sonic (2k3), Mega Man (2k4), Mario (2k5), Luigi (2k5) Analysis To finish our three-match streak where all the characters involved have appeared in a past contest we get a hyped match. Not for who will get first, but to get second. Aside from the obvious first the other three characters all have legitimate reasons for taking second. Weirdly out of the three one has a majority in the guru picks. Zero is going to take first, he is a near-elite and even though he stumbled last year I think he’ll rebound this year and be restored to his former glory. So why did Zero did so bad last year? Maybe like Mega Man he is weak against all things Nintendo, though it would be weird to be affected by Mario characters and not be affected by Mega Man himself. Zero’s path seems to be cut and dry so whether he is back to his original strength, stayed the same or even dropped a little I don’t see high going any further than round 3, but having an epic match with Crono and Vincent would be great. Despite being the weakest of the three (though the strongest and weakest are only separated by a couple of percent) Lloyd has a big majority over the other two characters. Why, maybe because out of the three he won a match or maybe it’s because he is from Tales of Symphonia, a huge favorite of the board. Forgetting about Zelos because he’s new and looking at Kratos, unless you believe that Scorpion is stronger than Sub-Zero Kratos did worse than what was expected. Even though ToS has a hardcore fanbase and those types of fanbases do well in this format it isn’t as hardcore as it was when Lloyd made his first appearance. This is going to be a likely trend for the other two characters as well. Statistically speaking HK-47 is the strongest out of the three and in my opinion has the best chance at winning. Unlike the other two characters HK-47 is a huge fan favorite and KotOR fans will be giving him the hardcore vote. We haven’t seen HK-47 since 2004, but I think he is weaker now than what he was. In 2004 KotOR was still a popular game, but now HK-47 has to deal with age. Out of the three I think Jak will take last in this poll, though not by match. Out of the three characters he has the least hardcore fans and even though he has had a few game released since his last appearance he seems to be one of those characters that were popular at his time, but after a few years he becomes all, but forgotten. Zero takes first without too much trouble and while I think HK-47 has this match it is really anyone’s game for second place.
