So all we draw from today are Zelda going back to her 2k5 value and getting nothing from TP? We can clearly draw from this match that should Sonic be in the finals, he will be such a detriment to Link that Cloud will win with over 7%! Clearly. --- Final Fantasy VII Remake -- Believe |

I don't get why Zelda was the big favourite on this board. Sure maybe
she's more casual than Vincent in this format, but if Vincent were
closer to Sonic than Ganondorf last year, why would Zelda give him any
trouble? Or maybe I just got lucky when I thought that Vincent was the

Zelda did absolutely nothing with the morning vote, much less with the

You don't have to encourage fedor at all. Just bow down before NUMBER ONE ON THE LEADERBOARD! But seriously though, I expected Vinny to win easily, but not THIS easily. He's really impressing me. If Crono doesn't get 45%+ tomorrow, I'll feel really bad about not taking Vincent. Crono needs over 50% to reassure me, really. --- Vote for Serge. |

And Magus losing to Knuckles and Frog getting his ass beat in by
Samus after disappointing against Riku are reason enough for me to

Is there any reason that Raiden should be significantly stronger than
Big Boss/Boss/Revolver Ocelot? Because at that level Sam Fisher is a
reasonable threat to take second (well, at least according to
lolX-stats) and I could see Raiden being at the lower end of that
level. I'm expecting something like Crono-50, Raiden-18, Sam F.-18,
Simon-14. Maybe a little less from Crono and a little more to
Raiden/Sam F/Simon. Or am I the only person who remembers how much people disliked Raiden as a character? |

Raiden is the main character of a Metal Gear Solid game, and he's a
cyborg ninja now. Plus, he did nearly as well on Snake in a SFF
beatdown as Sam Fisher did on Samus. Besides, Splinter Cell will NEVER
beat Metal Gear. That's right: Johnny Sasaki would beat Sam Fisher. --- Vote for Serge. |

Raiden was the main playable character of Metal Gear Solid 2. None of
the other people you mentioned have anything REMOTELY resembling that. As for being "hated", you can say that about any number of strong characters. Look at Squall, for chrissakes. Even if he were equal to the Fisher level, he'd have the advantage due to the MGS hardcore vote that has been displayed here. For him to lose... well, he'd have a good chance of being the weakest MGS character we've ever seen with that. --- delicious cats Commit it to memory. |

Echoing what's been said, Raiden's role as the main playable character
of MGS2 is hard to ignore. I think he'll be cleanly ahead of every MGS

Sam Fisher shouldn't do as bad as some expect in this format. There's a
hardcore - if small - group of nominators that continue to push him
into these contests, and he'll probably look better than if he had to
face any of these characters one-on-one. Sure, he'll probably still

I remember people we're calling for him to get 0 votes against Solid Snake. Raiden hate doesn't seem to be quite as bad now. And all things considered, 17.12% on Solid Snake head-to-head less than 2 years after MGS2 ain't bad at all. That's 1 in 6 fans preferring Raiden to Snake back when his hate was at its peak level. Oh, and I think Belmont is going to get last place there, not Fisher. --- Vote for Serge. |
