You know, bracket aside, it would be interesting to see Link blaze
through a contest where all the cheating forces on the internet were

AGH, Edgeworth, why do you have to be so weak?! It shows my point in
that Phoenix gets a lot of votes from name recognition, though. And, I'm amazed that Bidoof will be able to get close to 18%... I mean, Nidoran F got 18% on Samus, but we've got Link involved instead of Samus, two other guys, and I figured Bidoof was (much) weaker than Nidoran F. I'm interested to see how Mudkip can do. --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. It could be fun! So...what is a party?" "Well, you drink punch and eat CAKE! ...I think." |

Well, I can at least take solice in the fact that Edgeworth would have lost to Bidoof regarless of 4chan influence. Yea, I would say Bidoof would get around 11-12% here, whereas Edgeworth should be happy if he can break 10% at the end of the match (he will bleed a lot of % if he follow Phoenix trend later in the day). However, I am 100% sure there has been a vote stuffing in this match in the first half an hour (for Bidoof since he is the one who got the most benefit from this). Just look at the first 30 minutes votals in this match and compare it to the first 30 minutes votals in the first match (Knuckles v Yoshi etc) and then compare each update after that. --- Xcarvengerx (scar-fan-gear-rex) /n/ = A plethora of quixotic illumination. Or it could just be a lot more people were here because of the
excitement that was the end of the phoenix match and people left over
from the rallying that took place. --- Conformity and rebellion...both ways are simple-minded--they are only for people who cannot cope with contradiction and ambiguity. |

this is probably one of the sadder topics i've ever seen. I'd seriously recommend a few of you get some psychiatric help Um... If you think that people's complaints about cheating are bad enough to require psychiatric help, why are you even on the Contest Board let alone in a topic called Stats and *Discussion.* What did you expect people to do in here other than discuss the contest? Classic Stats topic. When Phoenix shocks everyone and does well, it's completely legit, yet when Bidoof does well and Edgey doesn't, it must be cheating. I don't think anyone, let alone the people talking about cheating think that Edgeworth would still beat Bidoof. However, there is still a huge amount of evidence implying that some substanial cheating was going on in the earlier hours of the match. And I have heard some people complain about how 4chan said they cheated for Phoenix Wright as well. --- "Look out-- It's Liquids and Gases!" |

I hope that we don't have a witch hunt here regarding what's legit and
what isn't. you really don't know, and I sure hope you aren't trusting

Looks like Miles just can't get that much support. I was hoping the
Phoenix support was bigger than just himself, but that doesn't appear

Yea, I agree with transience. I just looked at the last hour of Phoenix
match, and there is nothing that suspicious in there. And this match
will still run as expected without 4chan stuff anyway, but if it looks
like that the admins do not really care about vote stuffing and other
abnormalities like the first half an hour of this match (CJayC did!),
it will encourage 4chan to find a way to do more damages in their
mudkip match and round 2. I know this is weekend and all, so I don't
expect SBAllen to show up anytime soon and he may already have

Phoenix did have weird spikes all over the place... it's just that
Bomberman and even Crash for a while were storming all over him, so
instead of spikes they just looked like EPIC STALLS. With a lead of 81 I'd be suspicious. Not that I care, but I'd be incredibly surprised if less than 81 votes were votestuffed by 4chan or others. |

| that definitely wasn't a storm - Bomberman never
had a huge update that just trashed Phoenix. he just slowly took 15-20
votes off his lead, and then Phoenix would stall. plus, Phoenix is FAR
from your normal character as far as trends go. we all know that a lot
of his power comes from rallying. it'd have to be a lot more blatant
for me to call cheating there, especially when the admins have not said

Whoa, with the way Link's increasing his percentage, he may get to 70% after all. He's flyin' now. Still can't believe how well Bidoof is doing. Bleh, it makes me feel bad about Luigi > Tingle > Mudkip and Tidus > Serge > Pikachu. Lousy Pokemon ruining my bracket. ...Chances are I'll STILL be on the leaderboard tomorrow anyway though. Either way, Bidoof will still win today (yay bracket!). I think these
last few updates % are what we should expect without 4chan (morning

give Edge any mercy? At least, that's what it's looking like. Once again, I don't think anyone is saying that Edgeworth would beat Bidoof if all of 4chan's alleged cheated votes were taken away. However, there is plenty of evidence to support the fact that there was some cheating going on for Bidoof. A) He had over 20% on Link for the first four hours of the match. B) The beginning of the poll had much higher votals than even the first poll of the year. C) Most importantly, 4chan *themselves* talked about massive cheating!!
