Phoenix with his first update win in 55 minutes! THAT'S the sort of thing he needs to do every now and then.

Magus is beginning to perform as well as he should be now, which is good to see. The decline of Chrono Trigger is not nice to watch, even if it is gradual. I think having Phoenix in this match threw everything off balance at first, but we'll see three characters increasing against him from now on.

It seems to me like the characters that are going to bomb with the afterschool vote always seem to do especially well in the hour before school lets out. Magus improving isn't a good thing in that case >_>

CT decline is one thing that doesn't make much sense IMO.

CT was already so insanely OLD by the time the very first contest happened...it shouldn't suffer anymore from "aging"...it was already as old as you could get,

I don't have a clue why Chrono Trigger characters even do well. FF4-6 characters barely win first rounds if they manage anything...

it was already as old as you could get,

It's more gaming generations than actual year-on-year decline, if you know what I mean. The 360, PS3, Wii gen is leaving stuff like CT behind.

I believe it's meant to be the increase in vote totals that is meant to be the cause of the CT 'decline'. But I say we wait and see how Crono does before we judge anything.

CT also had that re-release version on the PS1 in 2001 (Final Fantasy Chronicles). Even if it was a crappy port...

Bomber with a XIII vote cut, but that's fine. I'd be fairly happy with that sort of cut if I was Phoenix.

Yeah, I was surprised that when FF4/5/6 were being re-released for the GBA, they did nothing with CT. It's kinda sad that the core Chrono team split up and are so involved with their projects that they'll probably never do that third game everyone thought would come.
