Big Boss? if the PW audience is as ":hardcore" as some claim, PW could very well take second. Mario's there to hurt everyone else, after all.

yep, Bomberman is completely finished.

*incinerates bracket*

This is about the 4th or 5th match in a row without getting 4 points. The first round may not have mattered originally, but it's starting to.

The whole stalling Magus thing was fun, but it's not worth getting excited over anymore.

As long as Wrighto keeps gaining on B-Man, though, I'm happy.

pfft. you still have a shot. There's only been 3 matches now where I got 4 points in (Samus/Frog, Auron/Shadow, Fox/Wario).

I hate this contest! ;_;

I think this is more Phoenix boosting than Magus bombing. Magus has probably dropped since 2k5, but not THAT low. I guess doubling your original game's sales, and having a sequel really pay off. If only this year was the year Gordon went up against Phoenix, we might still have our beloved GFNW

I don't take anything as a "fluke" against PW. I just have no idea when he's gonna run out of steam.

It's... quite enthralling, actually. He could have some damn entertaining matches against characters around his level of strength... whatever that is.

Also, a comeback from this deficit is not unprecedented... Frog had more of a lead on Axel, I believe...?

Granted while Phoenix may have the worst day vote of all time Bomberman's is merely an 'above-average' one, compared to Frog's dismal day and Axel/KH's superlative day. The differential between the two may be favorable to Phoenix if we just evaluate it with that measure.

If Bomberman wants to win this, he's going to need to build a pretty nice lead during the day (if that ever happens).

300 votes ain't gonna fly. I'd bank on Phoenix being able to do what Frog did with potentially greater success.

Frog wasn't leading by this much only an hour in. Granted, Phoenix is a very front-heavy character (what with his ridiculous board vote). Still, I think Phoenix may have legitimately boosted to low midcarder status. Mindblowing for sure.

So Gordon was legit last year, and Sora may have been more legit than alot are giving him credit for. Makes my Gordon and Sora picks look good.

Was there any doubt in Gordon being legit last year? Or the year before?

I mean, he starred in the most critically acclaimed game since OoT prior to those matches. Of course he was going to be a lot stronger then years before.

1.) Frog was leading by 882 or so at this time. Numerically, I'm pretty sure that outstrips Phoenix's lead.

2.) I have yet to see a match in the history of the contests that you think makes your future picks look bad. That kind of "I knew it all along" attitude is Psych 100 stuff, not even 101

Of course Gordon was legit last year, I didn't realize people even questioned that. Wasn't it just assumed to be HL2? People expected Gordon to be much stronger even before that contest.
