Guru breakdown! 177 picked Magus to get first, 2 picked Bomberman, 4 picked PW. 93 picked PW for second, 78 picked Bomberman, 8 picked Crash, 4 picked Magus. Fun fact: Pac-Man's lead over Wander will end up as the fourth smallest
lead (by votes) in the contest so far, behind only Frog/Axel,

And I'll be honest. I fully expect Phoenix Wright to be winning early
on. If he ain't, forget about it. He's going to drop big time with the

Well, just look at the first hour of the poll. PW is bringing in 45-49%
of the vote. Afterwards he's getting 38-43%. Of course he's going to do

dunno why some of you are talking about trends to determine character
strength. the stronger character is going to win regardless of when
they get the vote. oh, and being a "first-hour" character doesn't mean you're pathetic. Mega Man is basically a "first-hour" character and he's in the top nine. --- xyzzy |

I know it doesn't make the difference between who wins and who loses,
but I'm just saying that Phoenix isn't going to be strong enough to
build an overwhelming lead on Bomberman just from his first hour power.
He's not a Crono or Mega Man where he can push himself so far ahead
that he can afford to lose percentage after that. ...Though Mega Man DID gain with the day vote in his match, didn't he? I remember him being under 50% for a while 'til the day vote. --- Vote for Serge. |

well, MM isn't PATHETIC in the day, no. he's average. but if you want his strongest time, it's those first couple of hours. Crono is a better example of a character who flops after a couple of hours. Peach is another, for whatever reason. --- xyzzy |

So far this year, Frog is the best example of a first hour character.
The only time he exceeded (or even got close) to the percentage he held
through the first three hours was the very last. This is consistent
with Crono last year, minus the very last hour business. This probably
