Also, just to touch on what KH said: not only is Fox arguably THE
favorite of the SSB series, but he's been re-announced on the site and
Wario will most likely be in the poll with MK as well. MK will be going
solely off of his surprisingly-decent strength from the Kirby
series...it's just a matter of how much that really amounts to and how

Mario/Cloud underrates him there. Totally neglibly. Cloud should've beat Mario match by like 2 points maybe. I do agree that Fox will be fine though. Fox isn't losing to Falcon there. Even if Fox does beat Meta Knight this year, Meta Knight will probably
beat him handily after Brawl. Judging by how he looks to play in Brawl,

Meta Knight beating out Fox is clearly in the realm of possibility however if Meta-Knight can take care of Peach. Even if we assume Peach beats Fox one-on-one, this format simply does not favor Peach while it's tailor made for someone like Meta-Knight. There's no need to get out of control and start calling for Meta-Knight to be this monster just because of him being a couple of percents ahead of Peach, especially here. He's doing a good job right now, though. Don't need to make more out of it than what it is. --- Experiment status report update: Metroid project 'Dread' is nearing the final stages of completion. |

I'm sorry, but you guys may be over estimating Fox. I can see
Wario/Fox/MK being pretty dead even. It's more a matter of ****ing luck

Totally neglibly. Cloud should've beat Mario match by like 2 points maybe. I know you like to hold that Sephiroth > Cloud in 2002, but I find the idea unfathomable. Cloud certainly didn't get much more, if anything from the KH games - the biggest hype-selling point on ANY character was Sephiroth's much heralded boss battle. --- delicious cats Commit it to memory. |

I think it's a lot more his close relation to Kirby, and his awesome character design. Doubt it. The Kirby series isn't that popular for Meta-Knight to show this type of strength. Like I said in my writeup, MK is basically to Kirby what Protoman is to
Mega Man. Recurring boss with mysterious motives, but generally seems

No one truly likes Ridley, though, as I
said during the villains contest. He is best known for breaking through
random walls and attacking for what the gamer determines to be no real
reason aside from a boss fight. He's not badass, he's just some random

I'd take Meta Knight over Peach 1 on 1. I don't see how this format helps him. I understand that you don't buy into the idea of this format favoring characters with a hardcore fanbase, which is something I really don't agree with. I'm not willing to say anything about Peach/Meta-Knight in a one-on-one environment based off of this. I'd take Meta Knight over Peach 1 on 1. I don't see how this format helps him. And THIS just seems like you're trying to rationalize a pick in order to assert the format doesn't matter. In a one-on-one situation, Peach would dispatch of Meta Knight handily. Even if this is the NPH, the sight of MK > Peach > CATS thirty
minutes into the match is worrisome. It's only amplified when CATS's
poor day-vote is compared with Nintendo's consistent one. This is

hmm.. I can't believe that with Peach and Meta-Knight splitting votes
so effectively, that CATS isn't in a better position. maybe he'll end
up staying somewhat stable while the other two tussle for votes,

haven't played them, so I'm just asking. This is purely anecdotal and meaningless, but I've played Kirby games for a grand total of 5 minutes, and would never have known Meta Knight from that series. But I voted for him here. This also might be the first time I didn't vote Sephiroth in a match he was in. Overall though, I think his games might play a role, but his character design and similarity to Kirby are more important.
