Same. I never gave Meta-Knight more than three seconds of thought.
Yesterday's Mewtwo performance makes Mudkip look good. Today's

I know you like to hold that Sephiroth > Cloud in 2002, but I
find the idea unfathomable. Cloud certainly didn't get much more, if
anything from the KH games - the biggest hype-selling point on ANY
character was Sephiroth's much heralded boss battle. I couldn't POSSIBLY disagree with you more. Cloud had soooo much more reason to benefit from Kingdom Hearts it's ridiculous. Everyone agreed at the time too. Sephiroth's role in the game was minor relative to Cloud's, who was pretty prominent. That means a lot more than an optional boss fight. I really am wondering whats up with Seph. His performance in last years
Battle Royale doesn't seem to have been caused by Cloud. He really is

Doubt it. The Kirby series isn't that popular for Meta-Knight to
show this type of strength. Otherwise, Ridley should have been a lot
stronger given how much more popular a series it is... I don't understand what you're saying? I said that his strength probably had less to do his games than his relation to Kirby, and the way he looks. Who said I'm not taking him seriously? I'm just not taking him as a
lock to win this match, sorry if that's what your definition of serious
is. MK has every reason to do better now compared to the day. Sure he
might be able to continue this and lead all day long, but I can still

I like Peach to do better than Meta-Knight in the day, but who knows
there? gotta wait for it to have any clue. if this goes like you'd
expect, and Meta-Knight does even *better* during the night vote.. it's

If I had to choose between Jill/Ocelot/SFF'd Zolom and
Peach/Meta/CATS... well, initially I would have definitely gone with
the former, though I'm rethinking things now. But the disparity
shouldn't be SO much to justify the difference between Cloud and Sephy

Eh, I can see where the argument about Meta-Knight looking cool comes
from. From the Kirby games I played, it's not like Meta-Knight is a big
character in them. I like him more so because of his design (and he
rocks in CC). I can see why he would be voted over Peach, but I didn't
think he'd get that much support over her. Brawl may be helping here too....whoa whoa brawl hype is reel He really is looking like crap. Well, Kirby's best time against Luigi was the Board Vote...but we'll see what happens. I know it's not looking good for Peach, but I definitely wouldn't call this match over. Luigi made his move on Kirby at around 1:30 AM and his percentage rose until around 2:00 PM. And I have have played Kirby games a significant amount, and Meta Knight played such a minor role I didn't give him much thought. --- HMMMmmmMMMMMmmmmm............... |

Yeah, it seems that MK and Peach are very comparable in strength to
Ocelot and Jill. Replace CATS with Zolom and Sephiroth looks much

Eh, I'm still not counting CATS out on this... and I don't think the
day vote will hurt him as much as people are saying, since Sephy will
be more potent in the day than he is now too, so the %s they get will

Yeah, he's Nintendo, but it just makes sense that when comparing him to Peach, he would fair better at night than he would in the day against her. Regardless of whether he was in 2nd or 3rd right now, I'd expect him to only fall relative to Peach as the day hit. Sure I also thought Peach would be winning now, but this'll just make for a closer match. HM: I understand that you don't buy into the idea of this format favoring characters with a hardcore fanbase, which is something I really don't agree with. I'm not willing to say anything about Peach/Meta-Knight in a one-on-one environment based off of this. Meta-Knight's not exactly running away with this right now. This format certainly should definitely favor certain characters more than others - but so far the characters it favors has been quite unpredictable. Also I think SFF is by far the bigger factor. The "hardcore" theory is where the issue is. People say "hardcore", but then they fail to definite it beforehand. How is Meta Knight more hardcore than Kefka and Frog? He isn't at all. I agree with you that this doesn't necessarily mean Meta Knight>Peach 1 on 1. KH: And THIS just seems like you're trying to rationalize a pick in order to assert the format doesn't matter. In a one-on-one situation, Peach would dispatch of Meta Knight handily. How in the world can you say this so authoritatively? That's preposterous. I agree with HM, this does not necessarily say that Meta Knight>Peach 1 on 1. I wasn't trying to say that it did, just that I would pick Meta Knight there. And Ridley's character design is crap compared to Meta Knight. Prime Ridley looks great, but he has no art.
