Ok, I will rant a bit now while everyone is still asleep... Today will
mostly likely be my first and last day to be on the leaderboard for
this year. I didn't expect to do so well anyway since if I did, I would
have entered my bracket far earlier, so I can be higher in the
leaderboard and can stay there longer. I know I will somehow screw up
the later matches like I always did (well probably the unpredictability
of this contest has and will still help me...I hope), and looking at
the next few matches, I am not really confident anymore with my upsets,
in particular: Zero > Jak, Tidus > Serge, Snake > Rayman,

Bowser finally has his 2000-barrier operational, but Ryu is working on
his 4-5k barrier as we speak. Will he be finished before the day vote

Heh, for some reason I thought Rayman was that green guy made of
spheres in a Sega game. Still, Rayman is probably the worst choice for

W00T, called an upset for once! I am concerned though that Mewtwo is
eating into Bowser so much, it might lead to Auron/Ryu advancement
instead of Auron/Bowser. Also, Shadow might take vote from Bowser too,

Auron/Shadow/Ryu/Bowser is a huge matchup for your bracket, because the
next round has Cloud in it, which makes Auron's chances of advancing
minimal. That means whoever gets 2nd in this match will probably get
2nd again the next round, so to stay in contention, you definitely need

| Huzzah for fighting game loyalty and Bowser being
closer to Mewtwo than Ryu! And huzzah for me for having Ryu escape this
division! It doesn't look TOO bad right now, though this is obvious SFF
hindering Bowser. Just how much is anyone's guess. Hats off to Mewtwo
as well. He's doin' very well. Too bad he got stuck in an unwinnable

So how are things looking in Vincent/Zelda/Tails/The Boss? The first match seemed to indicate that Tails might steal a few votes from Zelda. Not many, but enough to make the swing in what should be a close match. And with the TP boost seeming to have disappeared after TP actually came out(Man, that feels so weird to say), it's possible that Zelda won't be quite as strong as she was last year. <_< And yes I'm probably skewing things to make it look better for my bracket, but is that so wrong? | I think TheBoss/Vincent share a bigger fanbase than Zelda/Tails. The Boss and Vincent's game are both on Sony console and we have already concluded that there is some sort of relation between MGS and FF. |

| I have Zelda > Vincent. Zelda has post-TP, pre-PH and pre-SSBB boost to help her a little bit during the contest ,while on the hand, Vincent doesn't really have anything much this year. Nothing can be assured in this kind of format and Vincent > Zelda is just as likely as Zelda > Vincent. |

Man, Ryu's alrready starting to drop like a rock percentage wise. Still keeping that lead going though. It'll be interesting to see if Nintendo jumps with the after-school vote. As for next round, I still have faith in Auron > Bowser, and if Bowser can secure that, then I have full confidence in the Cloud > Mega Man upset pick. As for Zelda/Vincent, it's pretty much like Ganondorf/Vincent was last
year. 2 high-tier characters going at it (since Tails and Boss should
be a non-factor there) with no real clear cut winner. And someone brought up SFF in that match, if anything the effect will be minimal, and would hurt Vincent more with the FF7/MGS overlap. I need Ryu to give 2% and Mewtwo to give 3% to Bowser and my Oracle pick would be close to perfect. Funny if I make the leaderboard after this match (which looks likely) this will mark my third Top 50 appearance in this contest alone and in 8 matches too. Mine: Bowser - 34.70% Mewtwo - 21.33% Ryu (Street Fighter) - 36.45% Toad - 7.52% Actual Bowser 29.61% Mewtwo 23.05% Ryu 37.56% Toad 9.78% I thought i'd be really close on this one but so far its all bowser underperforming. Giving 2.26 extra to Toad, 1.11 extra to Ryu and 1.72 extra to mewtwo. Good thing about this though is I expect bowswer to take 3% or so back before this finishes. I hope he takes most of that back from MewTwo my Ryu guess is already pretty good. --- Eff Dee |
