Well, to be fair, he really impressed on both KOS-MOS and Tifa. Then he went above and beyond any board 8 expectations against Zero, and managed to beat out the no-longer 1-seeded Kirby. Ngamer creative, I take serious offense at my Kingdom Hearts/Soul Calibur summary being "just wrong"! Sorry, had no idea that was your summary in question. I just commented on the one particular piece that was quoted, which made it seem like Kingdom Hearts comeback was a big shock. I don't remember the part about people giving up on the day vote comeback. But cut me some slack, that reaction is also from back in '04. Sorry, my bad :) Regarding this match, I agree wither others that almost all (well, that's an exaggeration, but a solid majority) of Toad's votes are coming from Bowser. Also this confirms what everyone already knew, Mewtwo got totally jobbed by his bracket placement. He's legit. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

Yeah just like how KOS MOS was crippled by MegaMan/Diablo/Arthas during the day. KOS doesn't have that bad of a day vote, and none of those three have particularly great day votes. Fox and Wario are actually well known for their games outside SSB. Falcon, not so much. That's a good thing for Falcon. All of Wario's games together would have a hard time scoring 20% on Falcon's two SSB games. Midna shows us what fate awaits Nintendo characters who aren't in SSB. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

The seed vote thing isnt a crackpot theory. What happens is that noobs bracket the higher seeds, and then they bracket vote. That's why im so glad the seeds are gone. --- Contest pts: 24 Today: Ryu>Bowser |

That's a good thing for Falcon. All of Wario's games together would
have a hard time scoring 20% on Falcon's two SSB games. Midna shows us
what fate awaits Nintendo characters who aren't in SSB. Yeah but Falcon is literally just a Nintendo character. He has nothing else going for him and is likely one of the last on most Nintendo fans' list of favorites. Fox and Wario have other things going for them. --- "An intellectual is a man who takes more words than necessary to tell more than he knows." |

Ugh, damn it, Bowser! I have my bracket and a fun bracket in the Top 62
but not on the leaderboard yet, both with Bowser > Ryu. What are the hopes for him coming back? Ryu's getting some good gains here. I agree that Ryu probably had that one bad year. On Akuma, I've long believed that people in these topics overrate him. He's no icon like Ryu, Scorpion, or Sub-Zero. We'll see how he does though. This contest might help characters normally hurt by recognizability, like Akuma. But I don't expect him to challenge Aeris there at all. --- www.gamefaqscontests.com www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

Okay, two things. 1) It's a damn shame Mewtwo got sabotaged like this. Same for Zolomy, actually. What a couple of missed opportunities. 2) Speaking of Tifa (and missed opportunities)...where is she? Didn't she almost beat Samus last year, or the year before or whenever it was? I know that was the female bracket's version of Link vs. Cloud or whatever...but still! Sorry if you've already heard all this before. But they're both on topic now, sort of. So. |

I think I originally had Falcon>Fox in that pack actually. I eventually changed to Fox>Wario, but I'm not comfortable with that. I could certainly see Falcon beating Wario. But really, who likes Wario? I'd wager a number of people like him, especially over someone like Captain Falcon. Honestly, I might consider him a contender for first there. No way does Falcon of all characters beat him -- his association with Mario alone prevents that. --- Experiment status report update: Metroid project 'Dread' is nearing the final stages of completion. |

People feel sorry for Mewtwo, hell I feel sorry for Bowser. Mewtwo is
holding his arms back, Toad is clinging to his foot while Ryu gets
sweet payback. It's alright though, I always cheered Ryu on when he was
waging his futile battles with noble niners. The funny thing is Bowser
still has a perfectly fine chance to get through round 3 without ever
placing first. --- Should I start running now? |
