Chris have never got the attention that he deserves, most prefer Jill over him in the original, and besides that game he doesn't have much.....

And I already knew that having Albert Wesker above Lara Croft was stupid, this and the previous poll just rubs it in.... >_<

I believe Chris will take third with the day vote

even though they're BOTH going to suck with it,PH will suck more.

too bad they're fighting for nothing

But Shadow's surprising under-performance does matter though. It isn't good news for anyone who picked him to place 1st or 2nd in the next round.

he can still place 2nd in the next round (first was impossible from the beggining)

Auron is already considerably stronger than bowser, and this format just widens the difference.switch shadow with bowser, and I don't see bowser doing much better than that (Shadow's Final score at around 27%)

Pyramid Head scored 16% on Bowser.
Pyramid Head is scoring 17% right now.

All right, i am just joking about it.

Wow. PH is doing better against Auron Shadow and some other jobber than he did against Bowser alone.

Oh well, at least Shadow went out and proved that he's also a complete jobber and is no treat to Auron/Bowser next round.

Now my only worry is that Ryu manages to overcome the odds there.

Shadow has been performing more decently now.though we aren't in the "day vote" yet

Chris,as I said, still has very good chances of beating PH when the day vote does come

Shadow seems to be better with the day vote than the morning, he killed Mario and Tidus with the day vote while not doing so much in the morning. Knuckles is the opposite.

I think weekend's day vote pattern is a bit different from weekday's one...

Anyway, I have a pretty bad feeling about Bowser > Ryu (SF) tomorrow... Mewtwo of course will be hit with heaps of anti-votes, and Pokemon fanbase is a bit different from Mario one anyway, so Mewtwo should not affect Bowser's performance significantly. However, Toad is the big problem. We don't know how strong he is, but I think he can get 10% no problem and even shooting at 15-16%. Take that away from Bowser, then Ryu has a very good chance to take the lead... uh oh... :(

Hmm, this is dull, think Auron/Shadow are doing a bit better/worse than expected respectively.

As for tomorrow re: comment in the OP, I think Ryu will take it, not due to rSFF, but more due to Bowser not being able to take advantage of sucking up SFF from the others. Ryu's distinct and popular enough to get a large enough percentage here.

Agreed. Ryu can pull 35% imo and that should be more than enough. Mewtwo and Toad will cripple bowser.

Forceful Dragon | Posted 9/9/2007 5:39:20 AM | message detail
Also Shadow is starting to pull 30%+ per update. I think he will finish pretty respectfully once the day vote has run its course.

Auron is still pulling 40%+ every update though. Dude's a friggin beast.
(Or shadow is weaker than recent years. Also possible)

Pyramid Head's pulling the same percentage vs. Auron, Shadow and Chris Redfield as he did against Bowser alone in the VC? wow, unexpected. I know he's going to fall like hell during the daytime, but that is pretty fluky.

that said, the rest of this match is booooooooooring. kinda nice for a weekend match since I won't have to pay any attention to it!

Pokemon isn't as hated anymore. Mewtwo isn't a character to even receive anti-votes to such a degree.

besides, anti-votes are practically non-existent in this format.

he's getting average +0.05% per update.and while he isn't actualy gaining on auron,he lowered auron's gains considerably

Yeah he's pulling 30% at least with each update, He'll probably even hit 40 a few times when the day vote really picks up. The only real question though is whether or not Chris can catch PH for 3rd place.

10.1. It is just virtually impossible to recover from the 10000 leads. Today is sunday and therefore the day time isn't as potent as other weekday.

but even still, an anti vote in a 1v1 match only had 1 place to go, but if you dislike 1 person in this contest chances are you like one of the other 3, so its more a Pro vote than Anti-anything.

There are only a couple cases where anti-votes might benefit 1 character more than the others. These two 4 packs seem to contain at least the possibility for such an occurance:

Isaac
Pikachu
Serge
Tidus

Pikachu might compete with Isaac a little but I woudl wager that Golden Sun is more likely to clash with Final Fantasy or Chrono Cross. Which gives you an isolated Pikachu who might benefit from gamers who do not play many RPGS and have thusly missed out on GS, CC and FFX. (Althought this particular match could result in Pikachu picking up anti votes just because he's pikachu. I expect mewtwo to do much better than Pika)

Aeris
Akuma
Geno
Squall

I strongly believe that being pitted in a 4 pack with 3 Square characters can only help Akuma. A lot. There's only so many RPG fans to go around.

well...

it's important to note that while shadow increased a lot

Auron barely decreased at all.

It's just the other 2 sucking.

Shadow may be able to go for 28-29%.but i can't see Auron falling below 40% at this point
Xcarvengerx | Posted 9/9/2007 6:39:28 AM | message detail
I'm pretty sure Shadow either doesn't have that much of a hardcore fanbase or he's just not capable of pulling a 2k3 thing.

I looked around many social boards in GameFAQs and it occurred to me that most people HATE Shadow A LOT. Casuals do not like Shadow as far as I saw. People were like "oh i understand why auron is winning but why pyramid head isn't ahead of shadow?" Sonic Team killed Shadow so badly (presumably Shadow the Hedgehog game?) they said. So my conclusion is most of Shadow's voters must be pretty hardcore, or simply old-school (hey he looks like Sonic... *vote*), or like his pic, or bracket votes.

Pokemon isn't as hated anymore. Mewtwo isn't a character to even receive anti-votes to such a degree.

Of course Mewtwo will still gather enough votes to put him in a 15-25% range, but I doubt his performance will affect Bowser's because like I said Pokemon fanbase is a bit different than Mario fanbase.

besides, anti-votes are practically non-existent in this format.

Yes, they are, but you won't know which of the other three will receive the benefit of these anti-votes. It is anti because you won't vote for that character and that character alone. You may then decide to vote or not.

the people yoe see in message boards are not casuals

Sega polls have revealed over and over again that shadow is the second most popular right after sonic,by a landslide.

that's why they gave him a game,in fact.they even made a poll asking "which secondary character should get a game?"
Lady Ashe | Posted 9/9/2007 6:44:23 AM | message detail
Yeah, the people on message boards are the ones that voted Kefka a couple of days ago, and Phoenix last year. They're not casual. =/

It is anti because you won't vote for that character and that character alone.

and then you have three other choices to choose from, which makes it non-existent.
