I didn't say she would

I said she might. Nothing about today makes sense. How does Ocelot go from jobbing to Pac-Man, and almost losing to Nemesis to beating Jill pretty solidly?

The only explanation I can think of is there is some sort of pecking order for the PS1 SFF.

Now I need to know if this is Jill bombing or Ocelot impressing.

If it's the former, then I feel comfortable in Fenix, If it's the latter, not so much.

Looking at the match with Liquid, looks pretty interesting. That match has one of the most independent fanbase issues as far as SFF is concerned. And I can see Liquid beating Ness. So I feel good about Liquid there.

But now...Wow! What the **** logic was I using? I have Ada > Balthier, but then Balthier going to Rnd. 3...

Nothing about today makes sense. How does Ocelot go from jobbing to Pac-Man, and almost losing to Nemesis to beating Jill pretty solidly?

Maybe because those two things don't matter as much in this format. One-on-one isn't the sole deciding factor in who wins all of these matches.

And for another thing, he didn't come CLOSE to losing to Nemesis. He disappointed severely, but almost losing? No.

it doesn't make sense because you put too much faith into the x-stats in this match. or at least took them at face value too much. Pac-Man is no joke.

So... is Jill losing more PS votes than Ocelot because of Cloud (and Zolom's?!?!?!?!) existence, then?

But hey! Expect the unexpected!

That would also make sense, since Ocelot is a character who you're more likely to vote over anybody else than Jill. A bit of both, perhaps.

Question: with Kefka getting ~18% in the post-VC poll that had Sephiroth, Ganon, Diablo, and CATS...is there a chance Kefka will avoid last place next round? He's certain to do better than Zolom (which is not difficult), Revolver's barely getting 18% right now, and Fenix isn't exactly a Ganon or maybe even a Diablo.

Just saying, unless Cloud can SFF Kefka obscenely more than Sephiroth could, there's a chance he avoids last when you look at it like that, probably at Revolver's expense. Is there another way I should be checking this out? It just sounds so wrong for Kefka to not be last next round.....

NominateSerge | Posted 9/8/2007 2:59:18 PM | message detail
I doubt Cloud does QUITE as well next round because none of those guys in his fourpack is getting less than 6% next time.

Also, Kefka only got 11% in that post-Villains Contest poll. He didn't even beat CATS. Heck, he only got 21% against Crono one-on-one. Yeah, he's getting last place.

Come on Zolom! You can finish below %5 if you try!!!

If Zolom got no votes until the match ends and at the pace of vote totals (145k) he'll finish with 4.56%. He needs 640 more votes to stay above 5%.
