Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/11

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

To elaborate, 24 is the amount of possibilities for the entire set-up. The amount of possibilities to form the bracket per match, which, in retrospect, is probably what you meant (and far more relative) is, indeed, 12.

I'm pretty sure Link will own Cloud this year. the guy just got TP.

tomorrow's match is an obvious pick to me. I see no chance of myself being wrong even by the past matches. Auron's far too much of a beast to lose to Shadow.

Uh, for my bracket I really hope so, but it will be funny if Link bombed because of TP (just like Midna)... or Square announced an FF VII Remake... >_>

Nothing is for sure, but do you think Link will beat Cloud this year? <_<

He did win by 12,000 votes the last time they had a match, and Cloud hasn't had any reason to go up, and Link has reasons (general Nintendo boost and Twilight Princess) to go up, if even just a little. I'd say Link has it in the bag, though a close match would be a nice surprise.

Also, in a sort of preview of this match format last year, we saw Link get 42.68% on Cloud, Sephiroth, and Solid Snake - making me wonder how insanely well he's going to do on Bidoof, Agent J, and Edgey...

I can only see 1 thing possible improving clouds chances, and that would be the release of a great many RPGs.

just announcing a FFVII remaking wouldn't bring potential cloud voters to GFaqs, why would they come here?They would go to gamespot or square-enix.com or some other site where they can get more information about the game. They would have no use for an FAQ page. But if some RPGs are released that do extremely well and pick up popularity very quickly, that would bring some more RPG-playing gamers to the site, and those people might just be more likely to vote cloud over link.

Honestly though I dont see Cloud > Link as much of a possibility at all.

I'm curious to finally get clarifaction on where Shadow's at. In 2003 he was as good as the best non noblers. In 2004 he dropped to an upper midcarder level. And we haven't seen him since he got his own game.

Based on the insane knuckles increase from 2004,i think we have good chances of seeing shadow at his 2003 level.since shadow did have much more reason to boost than Knuckles anyway.
