looks like Kefka is dropping for real now. hmm... I really don't know
what to make of this match. I have faith in Fenix though just because
he's Not Kefka. --- "where the heck does diablo get his votes from on weekends? He should be losing because christians are fresh from the church and voting against evil" -voltch |
transience | Posted 9/7/2007 7:18:12 AM | message detail |
the only reason I have any home for Kefka here is because of his
morning vote. I expected him to lose like 200 votes come morning, but
he didn't. it looks like he's in pure stall mode here, and if that
continues during the daytime at all... well, 1000 votes is tough to come back from. certainly not impossible, but you have to do something decent during the daytime. if memory serves, though, Gears kicked ass in that GOTY poll during the day, so this is probably just denying the inevitable. --- "where the heck does diablo get his votes from on weekends? Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Just looked at the poll for the first time. Nice showing for Marcus. He could have a real shot to take 2nd next round. And what the hell Nook/Zelos...I did a double-take when I first saw that. Holy crap. --- Kleenex - Not on his computer. |

Like...seriously. How is Zelos doing so much worse than Kratos? Is Kefka SFFing him in the basis of them both being from RPGs? ...is Nook SFFing him on a Nintendo basis? I just can't figure this out. --- Kleenex - Not on his computer. |
dragoontheguy | Posted 9/7/2007 7:43:40 AM | message detail |
So... just for curiosity sake, using 2k6 kefka, how badly does zelos
look in the stats? I mean, holy hell he's bombing nearly as badly as
vaan, but without any reasonable sff. --- sig |

I just realized what a dilemma my vote is tomorrow. I love Cloud, Jill, and Ocelot. Ocelot > Jill > Cloud, but it's very close. I love the concept of Zolom as an entrant and am compelled to vote for him. My bracket needs me to vote for Jill. Hmmm.... --- Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. Character Battle V Contest Winner! |

it's just Kuja syndrome. if you look fruity as hell, very few are going
to vote for you. also, Zelos isn't really prominent for the first half
of the game. that's a good way to end up pretty weak. I never
considered him to be close to Kratos's level, but I figured he'd get
some votes based on his game affiliation. --- "where the heck does diablo get his votes from on weekends? He should be losing because christians are fresh from the church and voting against evil" -voltch |

Looks like Kefka hasn't rolled over yet. If he can hold on for a couple
more hours and not completely bomb during the day, he'll have a good
shot at holding on to first. ....what am I saying, Kefka is so screwed. --- Moltar Status: The Analysis Crew...believe Kefka/Marcus/Tom/Zelos - Bracket: Kefka > Marcus - Vote: Zelos (14/16) |

If it was anyone who wasn't named kefka, magus or donkey kong in first right now, I'd say they've probably won. >_> The fact that he isn't gaining at all anymore isn't exactly going to help him when the "day" vote kicks in... hell, we should just call it the after school vote, and before school vote now on weekdays, night and day have nothing to do with it here. >_> --- sig |
The Mana Sword | Posted 9/7/2007 7:50:24 AM | message detail |
I don't think Marcus is really going to benefit from the after-school vote too much either. My bet is on Nook burying Zelos even farther into the ground. <_<; --- Kleenex - Not on his computer. |

I think I'm going to hold my vote and see if Jill needs it or not. If
Ocelot and Cloud are turning her into a Jill Sandwich, I'll vote Zolom.
If Jill's comfortably in 2nd, I'll vote Zolom. If it's tight at the
end, I'll vote Jill. I've only explicitly bracket-voted once so far (Midna), and that was reasonable to me because the only other person in the poll I knew was Scorpion, and I don't have any particular affinity for him. Kefka, Frog, and Knuckles were favorites-votes which doubled as bracket votes, and I risked voting for Mega Man because I do love him and haven't played any of the others' games. --- Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. The thing that's impressing me most about Kefka is that he's actually increasing
percentage right now. He couldn't increase his percentage against ONE
character, and now he's doing it against three. Maybe it's because he
only has 35% or so. I kinda liked Kefka's chances because FFVI seems to have a strong support base in multiway polls in the past, but he looks like he's still going to blow it, but maybe not as hard as in the past. Nook/Zelos one-on-one: Who wins? --- What now, Merril Hoge? |

Look at MGS/RE in the Games Contest...that really looked like it was
some big SFF. PS1 SFF (and LFF) can certainly hurt Jill badly. Marcus
definitely has the most unique fanbase in that match. --- Rapid analysis, accurate judgment, and superb powers of concentration. That is all we need. |

Jill, Kefka and Fenix all seem roughly the same strength. I still
wouldn't expect Jill to advance, though. I think Kefka has a more
dedicated fanbase, even against Cloud, and Fenix is the only new
character. My guess would be that he draws the most votes out of the
"don't like/apathy for Cloud" group, which could easily put him over
the top. --- FFXII NLB - finished - 39 marks FFXII LLIENANMiNDM - Bhujerba (post-Ba'Gamnan) |
