So when is this comeback supposed to start happening >_>? A 2000
lead with such small percentages (50% of the votes go to samus and some

If it was going to happen, Axel would have made big cuts into Frog's

This match is over. Moving on to tomorrow.....it's going to be
interesting to see exactly how many votes Midna receives, but I'm a bit
more interested in seeing how Kratos Aurion does. If he does well, this
means Lloyd and maybe Zelos might put up more of a fight than I

yeah. usually we would have seen more than a boring stall by now. Axel
may end up doing something, but it looks more likely that he'd cut the
lead to 1000, not actually threaten. but man, after seeing those 2-300 votes disappear overnight, I'm confused. --- "where the heck does diablo get his votes from on weekends? He should be losing because christians are fresh from the church and voting against evil" -voltch |

| I really don't know why everyone is counting out Kratos A for second place, Scorpion performed pretty weak in 2k4 and he really hasn't got much reason to rise. |

| The way I see it, Kratos A and Agent 47 are a
little below Scorpion regardless. But I think 47 has more casual appeal

Midna will probably do well in a match without any strong opponents
(tomorrow). But throw someone like Samus in the mix (next round) and
Midna could suffer quite bad. Midna strikes me as the sort of character
people will vote for if there's no one better to vote for in large
numbers, but no one really feels that strong about. As for Kratos he
might suffer from having midna in the poll, being on the 'cube and all. --- Ahem! There's LETTUCE on my boots! |

| Tales has a pretty dedicated fanbase though, and it doesn't look like it's getting much weaker. Sheena didn't exactly embarrass herself last year. |

The way I see it, Scorpion's stronger than both Agent 47 and Kratos
Aurion. He's more wide-spread, more known, and been around longer than

At least he did better than Tingle, but that is not something to proud of. I think Midna can avoid SFF from Samus next round and manage her way
around Frog. Scorp will just have too many obstacles in his way to

I really think Kratos A has a shot, but we'll see. I just had this crazy thought btw, what if Gordon Freeman could actually beat Sub-Zero for a third place round? He wasn't that much weaker than Sub last year and has a very dedicated fanbase. I know I'm probably underestimating the MK guys here, but both upsets could happen! |

region this year.) Serious Sam won a match, too, and he's one of the weakest characters to ever appear. I think Midna will suffer with Samus in the poll. she doesn't have to
get SFF'd directly to split anything with Samus. I don't think she's

I just had this crazy thought btw, what if Gordon Freeman could
actually beat Sub-Zero for a third place round? He wasn't that much
weaker than Sub last year and has a very dedicated fanbase. The whole point of why Gordon is so funny is that his potential fanbase (HL/CS players) doesn't even know he exists! Question: what does Frog get against Samus head-to-head now? In 2k5, he
got just under 30% against her. This year, he's currently got over 19%
with Axel getting 17% in the poll and Kerrigan has 11% that's up for
grabs as well. Granted, I think Frog's got a decent core fanbase in
this match...but given that MP3 is out now and CT-related characters
have been looking more capable of dropping since we last saw Frog, I

consider that a possibility. She's basically the second most important
character in the most recent and one of the most critically acclaimed

I'd take Axel over Midna if Samus was also in the poll. Then you trust Samus' SFFing abilities too much. Even with MP3, I don't think the split will have more of an effect on Midna. But you know what, Frog is no joke. He's damn strong, even with CT on the decline.
