Ah, I see. So then.... 93% had MM moving on.

Wait... that seems high

Not really. An NN (except maybe Crono) always has a high correct prediction.

Link could easily break 75% with the fodder he drew.

I think he'll break 80%.

Remember, he's not just against fodder, he's against the fodderiest fodder that ever foddered.

I honestly am not trusting this to Frog until he gets up to a 1500+ lead. He is too horrible in the day-vote to trust in below that against a KH character.

I think you misunderstand me when I say "huge percentage". I've seen a lot of people saying 85, 90%. that's nuts to me. I even question 80% with the way the top character is being anti-voted. it's not a significant percentage of the votes, but I think it's enough to stop a huge score.

look at Samus here. the NPH may end up being her worst time.

I would personally place Frog and Axel safely above KOS-MOS and Diablo... it's Kerrigan that makes things wonky, as she *really* doesn't warrant much of the vote. But considering the hardcore nature of SC and her iconic, she had a definite floor in this format.

I would place Frog above KOS-MOS, but not safely. And I wouldn't place Axel above her at all...but that might be a close match.

And I can guarantee you that Kerrigan has no such thing as a floor in this format.

There's not a group of people out there who will vote Kerrigan over any and every character? Don't be naive.

You're talking ridiculously extreme, to the point of totally irrelevant and not worth mentioning, "floor" then. Certainly some people have Kerrigan as their favorite character, maybe that's her "floor". But in any terms that matter, it's about the competition. Kerrigan's doing lousy enough here as it is, add more competition to this match and it would be worse, simple.

Frog looking very questionable for staying above 20% right now.

They don't exist, I tell you!

Also, I'm finding these last few updates to be hilarious, watching as Samus goes from 50.75% to 50.45% to 50.30% to 50.26% to 50.12% while Kerrigan simultaneously goes from 10.17% to 10.57% to 10.79% to 11.05% to 11.32%.

Mostly because it's driving Heroic Mario nuts. woo 65%.

Good chance you're right. But these guys are competing with each other as well, not just Link...and while most of their votes will be taken away from Link rather than each other, due to Link having more strength, there could well be some weird correlation between their own "non-Link voter" fanbases. I think 80% is quite possible, 70% is a virtual lock, and 75+% is likely.

For each of the 63 battles, pick the first and second place characters who will move on from each day's poll. For the first round of 32 polls, picking each one of the correct characters to move on from day's poll will score two points each for the correct order, and one point for the wrong order (i.e. picking the first place character to finish second or vice versa). For each successive round, picking the winners will earn double the points of the round before (Round 2: 4/2 points, Division Final: 8/4 points, Quarter-Finals: 16/8 points, Semi-final: 32/16 points, Final: 64/32 points). The sum of all points earned is your final score.

So you get one point if you pick the correct character and put them in the wrong spot, right? People were saying a score of 3 after the first day is impossible, but that's not the case if I, say, picked Vaan > Yoshi.

Or maybe I'm just an idiot. Probably that.

A score of 3 after the first day is impossible because you'd have to get one in the right slot and one in the wrong slot to get 3 points.

But if you got one in the right slot, you can't have the other one in the wrong slot, there are only two slots!

That nets you 1 point. On any given day you can get 0, 1, 2 or 4 points. 3 was impossible yesterday. 7 is impossible today.
