Silly? Look at how great Yuna and Luigi did last year, and how great
Dante and Kirby did in 2k5. All of those characters had their best
performances the years they got a high seed. Luigi did better than
almost everyone here expected by beating out both Zero and Kirby, then
did almost exactly as stats predicted on Sonic. Then Sonic went out and
proved that he didn't boost as some had thought when he performed
similar to Mega Man against Snake. It makes way more sense to believe Luigi and Sora's high seeds were the anomalys with the Sonic/Snake/Mega Man thing last year than Sonic boosting through the roof before "something fishy in Snake/Sonic" TuRtLe ~~~ "Like Darth Maul, the bastard child of Michael Flatley and Hellboy" -trancer1 BlAcK TuRtLe. Then Sonic went out and proved that he didn't boost as some had thought when he performed similar to Mega Man against Snake. Wow @ pics Frog doesn't look so hot. I wish they had used his "jumping with sword" picture. Kerrigan box-art? Just doesn't seem right to have a contest without major controversy over Kerrigan's match pic ;___; Yeah, Midna/Scorpion for that one. Agent 47 looks good, but not good enough for TP/badassery. The first seed business didn't help Crono last year. =( That's because he dropped due to higher votals, as clearly evidenced by his match with Sonic compared to his match with Mega Man and Mario in 2k5 compared with his domination in everything 2k4 and earlier. Anyone think Samus can break 60% tomorrow? Personally I think she'll be pushing the 55% range. that Arthas fellow all through work. Glad to see that I had nothing to
worry about. Breasts prevail! Now KOS MOS can look forward to being

Kerrigan's going to look as good as ever tomorrow. WoW's forum linked
today when two Blizzard characters were fighting and her match is
tomorrow, Starcraft 2 was announced afew months ago, and now she's
officially got her box art. Tomorrow'll definitely be her best

Think about it, you have 3 colourful platforming icons and and lone female RPG character. She will end up last, but I have a feeling she'll make it look respectable. The thing is, all three characters have large fanbases of their own... her fanbase is no where near the size of Knuckles, who is the weakest of the three... Yeah, I think KOSMOS is going to be fighting for every last vote next round. She's in there with three powerhouses. Funny that she could obliterate all three of them at once in an actual fight, too. Well, the topic has already shifted but with all the Dante theories I
gotta at least put Leon>Dante out there. With only the hope that
Nintendo will back Leon, and maybe just general RE trending up and DMC
trending down. Honestly, I haven't heard jack about DMC4. --- Should I start running now? |

I've got Leon > Dante as well. RE2 is probably as respected as any
DMC game, and RE4 was becoming a legend of sorts here before it was
even ported to the PS2. I imagine that its PS2 and Wii ports have
served him well enough to overcome Dante in this. I respect how liked
Dante is, but Leon's stock is constantly rising and doesn't simply rely
on the PS2 fanbase. Game-wise, Leon has Dante's number as well...and I
can pull out the most recent Capcom-poll if I have to prove how badly
the RE series beat the DMC series. In fact, I'm not sure if DMC ever
kept from getting blown out by RE in a Capcom-poll... ...but anyway, I know games and series don't equate to games. Despite that, Leon's not far from Dante character-wise, Leon's got him game-wise, RE smokes DMC series-wise, Leon has more than the PS2 to work with, and now RE4 is out for the Wii. KOS-MOS can finish in #2 next round. Megaman, Yoshi, and Knuckles will
all SFF each other. Looking at today's match, KOS-MOS could probably
finish above 25% on Megaman alone- if she finishes at 18%, she only
needs to get 7% from Diablo and Arthas to do that, with MM getting the
other 24%. Yoshi got SFF'd down to 32% against MM; add in competition
from Knux, and both he and Knux should finish below 25% in a
MM/Yoshi/Knux match. Adding in Yoshi and Knux to a MM/KOS-MOS match
should hurt KOS-MOS worse than adding her into a MM/Yoshi/Knux match

Megaman, Yoshi, and Knuckles will all SFF each other. Mega Man = Capcom Yoshi = Nintendo Knuckles = Sega ............................W..................T.......................F? Some of you need to stop using the acronym "SFF". Seriously....stop. Not EVERYTHING is because of SFF. Today with Arthas and Diablo? Yes, that is SFF. Blizzard fans would be split on their loyalties. But the way you guys blindly toss SFF around between two characters is annoying. Well, it is kinda SFF. We have 1 RPG character against 3 platform
characters. SFF doesn't necessarily have to be based on the developer
and/or console, genre will probably do the trick aswell. Especially
when we're talking 4 way action... However, I don't that will matter since she won't break 20% and I think that's needed to go through to the next round against those three. --- Vote for Wander from Shadow of the Colossus... You know you wanna... |

SFF is involved whenever two characters share a fanbase. In other
words, every match, to a greater or lesser extent. It's a fundamental
part of a character's strength: characters are only strong for two
reasons: a large percentage of the site likes them, and the people who
like them like them a lot (that is, that character tends to win SFF).
Yoshi and Knuckles do share a large portion of their fanbases, or why
did Rikku do so well yesterday? And Megaman and Yoshi share a fanbase,
as their 2005 match indicates. SFF isn't a "magic" factor to explain
everything; it's a fundamental component of a character's strength- how

| SFF stands for Same Fanbase Factor, sure, but it's
only to be applied to when one option really gains favor because of
this. Show me where in today's match that Diablo/Arthas is strongly
